You can also rebuild a firmware from scratch with ChoiDujour if your missing the original emmc backup and its bad/bricked/missing etc
this seems to save some extra steps at least
you should never "need" to spread it, providing you put enough on it will spread edge to edge on its own.. heatsink never really touches the actual die either, its got the copper tape over it first
yep, so no point in updating to 7.0.1 ofw
cheers everyone for help, just an awkward one with a mix of hardware/software faults
auto
This is the reason I bought these so I can break them, dissect thm, see what works and what doesn't etc
update, have redone the ChoiDujour method with 5.1.0 and its now booting in CFW mode
now to ultrasonic clean board and rebuild it back up to start getting it fully functional i guess
https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-install-run-any-switch-firmware-unofficially-without-burning-any-fuses.507461/
followed this guide and built 6.1.0 but i am still getting same issue, nintendo logo then blank and nothing else when booting as CFW, as stock boot i get nothing
filters and caps surrounding p13usb are all ok, lcd connector is fine
I can boot into Lakka no problem so I dont think its an lcd connector issue
battery is charging all voltages good and reading gas gauge no problem
hardware has been checked over and over , it all seems grand, i have a working patched motherboard that i checked against many parts in diode mode
if fuses are burnt to 6.2, will 6.1 work ?
I get an unsupported error with choidujour using 6.2 , from what i have read 6.2 is only compatible with the NX version of choidujour?
maybe I have the wrong files ?
