    Thanks for the suggestion. I did try that. Ended up installing the 1.1 update first, then the .xci base. For some reason that works. Today I installed the 1.1.1 update, and it was applied successfully, so it looks like I should be okay using the .xci base.

    Anyone know how to fix NXThemes Installer? I know that forwarders stopped working for the app, but if there's a work-around I would be interested. The forwarder opens the app, but this text is displayed, and the app isn't usable.

    Just a guess. Try refreshing the Title ID when making the forwarder.

    One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

    Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
