Hacking Idea: When Wii U is hacked, port a Wii emulator to it for HD Wii gaming
Yeah, that's what I want, the by-a-hair best worst version of two or three games eight years into a console cycle... This silly argument just makes me wish Nintendo would hurry up with some good original Wii U games, it's not even good as an ancillary unit right now.- Mapleine

Hacking anyone worried about being banned from online?
Wii mode is sandboxed for a reason. They may push back against it some, like they do with the 3DS, but I agree that it seems doubtful they'll ban your console for it. Now going into Wii U mode and taking hacks online...I'm still a little doubtful they'll outright ban consoles like Sony or...- Mapleine

Hacking anyone worried about being banned from online?
I expect them to fight back against Wii U hacking with fairly routine firmware updates and lightweight security (in contrast to the other two console makers) For vWii mode, I expect nothing, only time will tell but I believe it was sandboxed for a reason.- Mapleine
