    @_Ruri_, Can you send me the link to your profile so that I can follow you pls?
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    I prefer modern laptops since they're so much easier to fix. Had to replace the WiFi card in my laptop recently and it being recent Asus made it so much easier. Really clean and easy to disassemble.
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    @Xdqwerty, Okay, wait a sec
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @_Ruri_, Followed!
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    @Skelletonike, They're easier? I thought newer were more complicated but tbh it makes sense. Way less stuff inside.
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:

    Only thing that sucks about modern laptops are glued in batteries
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    That's the pick without the back plate. Didn't take any other pics when I fully disassembled it (the pic was mostly to know which screws went where).
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    Not glued in mine
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    It is gaming oriented so there was that
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
    Depends on cost a 1k laptop would be easier than a $500 one
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    I never actually disassembled my modern laptop but I could make use of that 512gb SSD 🤔
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    Wait why didn't I think earlier about this lmao
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    Yeah, got it on a sale on release for a little over 1000€
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
    Hp victus lines made cheap af even for 600
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    It's already 3 years old but still pretty good for most stuff.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    Only had to replace the WiFi card that probably had a defect since day one but I always just assumed it was because of all the walls.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    Pretty easy to install new ssds and ram too.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
    I like how they left a blank m.2 expansion on my board cheap fucks
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @Skelletonike, My laptop is over 10 years old and the battery nowadays only lasts like 2 hours
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
