    For myself I want a regionfree solution. I got an US Wii and so I'm forced to buy US games for the moment (not that much of a problem since they are cheaper than euro games...) A regionfree solution would allow me to buy local games and maybe also run my (euro) gamecube games on my (us) wii =)

    Nearly every modern TV (atleast every modern TV that you can buy in germany) supports NTSC on the AV-INs so it doesn't really matter (*hugs the us wii hooked up to the pal tv*) (And why accept PAL as TV broadcast system, as far as I can see pal is inferior to NTSC in nearly every aspect)

    Yes but if I import Wii games and pay shipping (10$), taxes and customs for them (19% extra) they are still cheaper than here in germany (50$ versus 60€ (=79$)) wtf is up with that?

    *agrees* File System has nothing to do with the possibility to read or copy the disc in question If the GC discs are really outside to inside (I thought this was just a myth) then exactly this is the only thing stopping us from copying them using normal PC drives. Wii discs surely are differnt...

    indeed but you can nevertheless change your mac. There are no tools to do that yet but I I believe ppflash (hard overwriting the whole firmware) changes your mac... so it can bo done...

    actually nintendo could change the online service so that cheating is harder (for newer games only of course...) just like there are very few cheats for pc online games... and about banning mac: I believe you can change it by flashing your firmware...

    I used a vertical touch 22" monitor for playing some 3DS games through Citra.
