    I think sd might have better compatibility overall than sdhc, and less prone to errors? I would reformat the 8Gb and copy (not cut) the contents of the 2Gb over to test. Perhaps you could use the 8Gb only for GC and if possible, insert the card before browsing for the file you want to run...

    problem solved - I found out that it was a bad memory card in the end, as reformatting didnt help, yet another card with the same software worked 100%, now with no issues at all. thanks for the help I think a good program to check the health of any memory card might come in useful in future!
