    Hacking will there be any homebrew for playing DVDs?

    Why would the license have to be spread out? It would be based on a "per unit" basis... for each DVD channel sold, the license would be paid... no need to pay for the license for all the consoles, with or without the ability to playback DVD's.

    I got 100 Verbatim DVD-R at Buy.com for $8 after a $10 Google Checkout Discount and a $15 mail-in rebate. Free shipping too. Right now they have them for $36 shipped, but you can still get the Google Checkout discount for $10 off. So, $26 shipped (no tax) for 100 isn't bad.
