  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
We have fancy doo hickey computers that'll be your rent amount
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
How often should you replace thermal compound on CPU? It's been like 3-4 years for me. Not overheating but just curious.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    5-8 years probably
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
ok cool, i can wait a few more then. Prob just build a new one by then.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Usually if thermal paste gets that dry your pc will turn on but you can monitor temps going up
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
My temps are the same, i have a water cooler also. it's just a pain to pull all apart just to grease it up again. I'll just wait. 3-4 year old PC is ancient nowdays anyways, been itching to build another but I don't game or do much on it anymore.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
I wonder if they'll still be releasing PS4 games when the PS6 is released.
  • Veho @ Veho:
The mini is really mini. I like.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@BigOnYa, How long it takes for thermal paste to dry out depends on what it's made from, ironically higher performance thermal paste typically dries out the fastest. Some in a year.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Just depends if temps skyrocket if it's fine no need to worry

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I used Arctic Silver so should be good. I'm prob gonna just build another here soon anyways.

  • DinohScene @ DinohScene:
    ew arctic silver
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Is that not good? I've always used it, on xboxs also, been fine, but I don't know, what's better?

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@BigOnYa, usually I build something new long before I worry about thermal paste. Game systems could be a different matter

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@BigOnYa, Arctic Silver is a great combination of lasting "long enough" and decent performance AS 5 is great.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
There are much better pastes out there but as you go better you get less longevity.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Pastes lol
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Just shoot your own paste all over it

  • Veho @ Veho:
    Much better pastas out there.

    AC Silver is hella conductive

  • DinohScene @ DinohScene:
MX[insert w/e number] is vastly superior to AC Silver, with the additional benefit of not being electrically conductive :x
