Misc What are Error Codes 011-6433 (eShop) and 026-6433 (DLC)?

A friend of mine sent me his O3DS after my N3DSXL broke from water damage about half a year ago. So right when I received the package, I called Ninty to unlink my NNID from the N3DSXL. After several formats, updates, and payload management, I was finally able to use it only to not have access to...

Crap, they already shipped my console back... I guess I'll just order another one when I get a job. In other news, that Monster Hunter Generations edition New 3DS XL is looking pretty good but there's the chance of it already being updated to 11.0.

I probably should update the original post... Anyway, I'll try talking to them about using a slightly damp cloth.

Oh, I took out the battery that one time. No dice.

    You're talking about retailers, right?

No, I meant my PlayStation 3 controller is fine after being submerged. The n3DS wasn't so lucky. It died from wet wipes but it was still mostly dry throughout. That's what's strange about it.

Hacking [Q] Error on boot followed by strange brick

They probably found traces of evaporation, the system still being wet, something... I left the system alone for a few days before sending hoping it would dry. Oh well. Strangely, I submerged my DS3 in the toilet (long story) and it was completely fine after shoving it in a bag of rice for 2...

    ...yes. Wet wipes.

What about Toys 'r Us specifically? Just making sure.

Hacking [Q] Error on boot followed by strange brick

I doubt they'd go through the trouble of checking the serial number, let alone unscrewing it. I heard some retail employees are pretty incompetent. The condition of my broken one is pretty good on the outside anyway. You have to try fairly hard to find any scratches. But knowing my luck so far...

I have no stable income, not until I get a part time job over the summer. What if I buy another one, swap it, and return the defective one? Chances are the new one will have a hackable firmware.

Hacking [Q] Error on boot followed by strange brick

Well this is quite disappointing... All I did was use wet wipes. Returning it to Toys 'r Us isn't an option since it's past 30 days, unless I'm mistaken. Well, what now?

Sorry for troubling you but how do I restore them? I have them backed up in multiple locations but I'm lost on how restoring works. Just as a final note: Thanks for the help guys!

In the EU we get 2 year warranty, but if we open a device the warranty gets void, so I'll just stick with getting a bigger micro sd card.

I do know SD cards have some new standard, with extra pins, and they're freaky fast.

What is this lag, it shouldn't be lag between when you press a button and the corresponding action on-screen, people make a ruckus for less than that

  • Veho @ Veho:
    What lag?

    It's the loading time.

Not a lag on button presses.

  • Veho @ Veho:
Portal 2 takes 10-17 seconds longer to load from an SD card than from the internal SSD storage.

I just wanted to be clear that I had ruled out the lag on button presses. I have reasonable intelligence
