I'm wondering how to replace the battery and what battery (brand, voltage etc) i should use to replace it.

I opened it up and it seems that the plates keeping the battery in place are glued on, this is different from my old lite sized one which seemed to use some kind of black adhesive tape.

heres some pics (sorry for bad quality, i used a camera phone):

so.... how am i supposed to get these plates off the battery, and also how am i supposed to reattach them?
I want to be careful, becuase it looks like the plates are only attached to the circuitry by a thin piece of metal soldered on.

The battery you Need is a Panasonic VL2020 2 Pin Battery
Voltage 3.000 V [Typ]
Charge Current 1.5 mA [Max]
Charge Voltage 3.4 V [Nom]
And to replace it you have to solder the new one on to the motherboard/chip (you don't remove the bridge's)

99% sure this will work

I doubt his battery is already dead he is just taking precaution's since all battery's eventually die even lith ion battery's that have a 1000 charge life
