New guide by Rydian here
How to softmod your PSP!
For all PSP models!
PSP hacking/modding F.A.Q. (Start Here!)
README
This guide will guide you how to install CFW on your PSP, that's it. I won't be telling you which CFW is the best or which games, homebrew or plugins work.
Thanks to new CFW for 6.20 and 6.35, all PSPs users can now enjoy CFW and pirate til your download speed is capped.
IMPORTANT: If your PSP is above 6.20, you can downgrade (BRICK RISK) or stay on 6.35 and use semi-CFW. If your PSP is above 6.35, you're out of luck but you can still enjoy homebrew!HBL will not be covered in this guide[/p]
Easy right? I know!

Important for new PSP 3000/Go users: Once you've installed PRO-B5 DO NOT DO THE PERMANENT PATCH YET.
Check in the system settings (where it tells your firmware version) and where your MAC address was it'll show your motherboard information. 01g-05g can use permanent, higher up can't.
IF YOU USE THE PATCH AND YOU'VE GOT A UNSUITABLE MOTHERBOARD, SUCKS TO BE YOU, YOU'VE JUST BRICKED YOUR PSP..
PSP 100X/200X users don't need to worry
- PC -
1. Download 6.20 official firmware for PSP 100X/200X/300X or PSP Go (You do not need to download this if you're already on 6.20)
2. Download 6.20 PRO-B5
3. Copy the UPDATE folder from the 6.20 OFW download to PSP/GAME (Not required if didn't download 6.20 OFW)

Readmeplz: This is semi-CFW, meaning you have to redo all this once you turn off your PSP! (Putting the PSP into sleep still keeps the CFW on) Don't worry though, you only need PRO-B files on your PSP once finished, not the 6.35 OFW update on there
