The latest entry in the Valkyrie series, Valkyrie Elysium, has received a release date. On September 29, the action RPG will arrive on PlayStation consoles, with a PC release set to follow on November 11th. As an added bonus for those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition on either PS4 or PS5, players will get a copy of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth--an enhanced version of the first entry in the series, originally released on PS1, which came out for the PSP in 2006. This re-release of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is exclusive to PlayStation, and will not be included in the Steam PC version. Those that wish to pick the game up will also be able to purchase it separately on the PlayStation Store.

I don't understand that decision from their part. The game is already ported to the PS4 and Switch (Japanese version) and is using the PSP Remake/Remaster as its basis (Which is released in the West and has English translation).

Why won't they just release the game in the west (PS4/Switch versions)...

If they do a new chrono, with today's standarts, it will be horrible, the public will end up killing it, and they will forget about the franchise, way better is staying like this, and not releasing another shitty game using a well known IP, you know, like FFXV, where you have to pay for an additional movie, a series of OVA's, 4 or 5 DLC's of specific characters, because it's way too much to actually include any character development in the base game (not that it has any actually, with or without DLC's), and then end up cancelling the rest of the DLC's and leave the people with an "unfished" story, so, yeah, i don't think a new chrono game is a wise choice knowing the latest project's of square.
