Okay. I searched here as much as i can. But can't find something useful. (or maybe my english isnt the best).

1. I checked my firmware. And its 5.03. I know, there is a firmware version wich LOCKS the psx-emulation at all. But can't find the version wich do it. (I want to avoid this at all ...)

2. My PSP is not in the best state. (broken case, missing thumb-stick, missing r1-button ... but fully functional at all)

3. it seems to be a PSP 2000 ...

So. Who can give me a step by step guide for permanent jailbreak this psp to run psx games (iso on sd) without any problems.

I tried a tutorial on another psp long ago and missed the part, where i DON'T have to update to this specific firmware version, wich locked the psx feature. And i don't have a pandora battery. So ... i want to avoid this issue in all ways with this psp. So please ... (BTW: the FAQ in this forum is fully broken ...)

Is it already solved to play psx games AFTER this "lock" fw-update? ...

I'm not fully sure about that. I don't want to be forced to use a pandora battery to re-enable psx support ...
Update to latest firmware and install the latest CFW, you'll have ISO, PSX, plugins, etc
No reason to stay in 5.03 in 2020, you can't play any new games or homebrew.
You don't need pandora for any of this.

I have iso. (Or can convert from bin/cue to iso ... i know a big free database of ALL psx games online. i think, its not allowed to tell here wich i mean. But its no problem. So ... My explicit question is: Is the 6.61 update + cfw able to play ps1 games this way? (Because i know the last psp i tried to flash was NOT able to emulate any psx games at all. regardless what i have tried, this one specific fw update locked this feature ...)

I try it. But i hope i don't run in the same issue like the last one ...

Okay. I tried to install official Firmware 6.61 and ... i got close to brick it instantly ... because it jumped from 99% back to 84% and i readed, that a "remove battery at 99%" is possible and get into 6.61 ... but i read already too, that if i NOW try to install CFW 6.61 ... i'll brick it to 100% ...

I don't find any useful help about this issue.

So ... i have NO Pandora Battery and i'm sure i'm not able to create one ... even i have only one memory stick and can't turn them into a magic memory stick whitout the psp itself ...

What should i do? Just try to install 6.60 (downgrade) first?

How does it jump from 99% back to 84%? That sounds like a weird bug.
Anyways, CFW can be loaded live so there's no risk of bricks, in any case I advise to use Chronoswitch to reinstall 6.61 fresh.

So. Its seems to be a hardware issue at any point.

I tried nearly every versionf rom 6.30 up to 6.61 and EVERY version (even with chronoswitch) repeats the 99% back to 84% loop ...

If i remove the battery at 99%, i can launch the psp without any issue into the 99% installed OFW.

If i try to run a CFW ... i can start the installer or loader ... but then the psp shuts down and i have to start it with the power button again.

i'm annoyed ... because i CANT bring CFW in any version to work on this thing ... -.-
