Hi! @DarkAkuma Excuse me, how could I update the database with this new one without losing my games?

Previously, I only downloaded one file but in this release I only see the complete database. So, what should I keep and what should I overwrite? Thank you.

Overwrite all your CaVE files with the one from the rar. You can delete any of the database\update_XXX.json files, as they are now obsolete.

As for updating your custom game database without losing any games... thats the main purpose of the "File>Add Game>Add Stock Game" option. You simply choose if you want to add this new game to your database of not. If you have updated the app, then the game is there. Just simply unreferenced until you do that.

Thank you. I updated everything with the new release and the database was still there, no problems.

I wanted to ask you, Dark Akuma, if it could be possible to have something like a patreon, kofi etc. where we can donate and you could help us with some dtzs? I know everyone can do it, but not everyone has time, patience and the will to do it. So it could be great! Just a quick idea, because I really want to use some games wich updates have been frozen over.

I may have the patience, but I don't exactly have the time or will myself.

My time goes into CaVE itself. V1.0 and V2.0. And I have to focus on what is fun and interesting for me. And dtz work... lost that fun. More so when I know what task is ahead for getting some games to boot at all, and others to work better. It is a large investment of my time and energy into trial and error.

As you are aware, yes. This is something for others to contribute. I have gone to great lengths to list and document the dtz settings, and provide a guide of exactly what I do to find idle addresses. Specifically because, collectively its a monumental task, best divided up among those who are most interested in specific games.

I was badgered over and over about how I wasent sharing or giving to the community to let them contribute to the dtz efforts. But in reality... that is the entire point of all the info I provided. Figure out what does what, and how to do this and that... so everyone has access to the information to use it themselves.

I once considered setting up a patreon. I may have, and forgot. But realistically, I know my work is niche, and I couldn't hope for it to generate enough to dictate such direction of my time, or focus.

All I can say is. Never say never. I "might" get back around to working on N64 compatibility related things. I had a couple ideas. But for the most part, I'm focused on Sloop/Hiyoko at this very moment. And when thats done, I would likely return to CaVE 2.0. I'll keep N64 compatibility in mind, in case it happens to interest me one day soon. But I can't make any promises.

The CaVE Stock Database Update JSON and Full Unlock patches for NSO SNES/SFC v3.2.0 and NES/FC v6.2.0 are now available on the website!

And while CaVE v1.4 itself is still not out, its in testing. A few bugs so far, but for the most part Sloop and Hiyoko support seem to be fully merged in well.

When its stable, I'll release it publicly. And maybe start work on OTHER apps. Likely official Super Mario 3D All-stars support. And perhaps Saturn? Not sure if there's any demand for that one, as I havent been following that thread. But it should be more realistic to support now in CaVE.

Sorry for asking here, but is it possible to compile a .dtz file for SM64 with 8MB Memory? I'm wondering if it's possible to get Sonic Edition Plus running on my console. I successfully managed to add it onto the menu but the game doesn't boot up, due to the lack of a .dtz file I'm assuming? I'm honestly clueless on how to compile one and it doesn't seem to be available anywhere online.

I'm willing to pay for a working .dtz file for Sonic (and Shadow) Edition Plus by GameBun & Thodds haha, I don't like asking for free work.

I feel you, bro. Sadly there is not much support right now.

I suppose we need to wait a bit longer, tinker around with things (wich I am not too fond to do because of my time, my limitations and whatnot) or use another emulator.

Would you be willing to make working .dtz files for Mario 64 with 8MB memory if I payed you? I want to get SM64: Sonic (and Shadow) Edition Plus running on my Switch but I've only been able to get them added to the menu without actually getting them to boot.

Thank you so much for providing the files. How were you able to get them running? I applied the MetaPack .dtz using CaVE Database Manager but they're still not working for me. It actually starts up but it stays frozen on a black screen before anything can show or play.

I'm using v2.3.1 of n64 NSO and I'm on system firmware 14.1.1

Ah that makes sense, I was using the Plus versions that were made by GameBun that just adds a few more cosmetic changes. Do you think it'd be possible to run those? Either way, I'll try this method and I'll also try patching the NSO rom with the Plus versions to see if it might work haha. Thanks!
