PPSSPP on Switch?? Any guides? Tactics Ogre?

Crazy…I just made it past Almorica Castle and am headed to Tynemouth Hill.

Are you certain you cleared everything out from the old install?
Are you using title override to open hbmenu and start ppsspp?

I can’t think of anything different to do…

i give up. can tthink what else to do. i think i cleared everything ouit from the old install. deleted the entire switch folder in windows. then put in the new folder.

not sure whether i make a new emunnand ? just seems like a lot of faff.

does it run at full speed and no issues or hiccusp?

Deleting the entire /switch directory should have been more than enough.
I agree, I don’t think a new Emunand is going to help (unless you’re on files vs partition maybe?)

When it’s my turn and I have to initially select my character I can hear a slight wobble in the sound. Also when clicking through the menus to Act it has a slight wobble when moving between options. Doing a save game has one slight wobble right when it hits the disk. Other than that it’s silky smooth.

however the audio is poppy. its every few seconds. which settings have u used for this? its subtle but there

I only started down the path of investigating PPSSPP while researching this thread so I'm afraid some of the finer points of audio tweaking for a specific game are going to be beyond me.

I'll take another look later today but we're on equal footing at this point so maybe someone else can give us both some hints here?

I downloaded the HD texture pack and installed it and set frameskip top 2. eliminated 99.9% of the audio issues. it does have ghosting but its not bad. much worse strangely when frameskip set to 1.
it also looks VERYYYY clean now with the HD texture pack which is not usable without frameskip. see how it goes now I guess.

yup 1 is awful mate. Try 2.. its surprisingly ok. Obv better without but much better than 1. Don't go to 3!

Probably it gets announced on the next month.

I'll keep an eye out for it but I'm a bit doubtful. All I heard was Tactics Ogre Reborn trademark made in Japan which could be either a remake or a new game. If its a new game, it'll probbaly be very very very watered down given how simplified triangle strategy was.

Not convinced Squenix will re-make the entirety of it as its a big deep and big supposedley by modern day standards.

I'd put the link here, so you can check as well, but since I'm a new member I can't post links yet, but you can easily Google it. And I really don't believe this isn't planned to arrive on switch as well, except square would like to earn money on their games the hard way, like namco did keeping tales of arise out of switch, lol.
Despite there's no info if it's a new entry or a remaster, any of these would be very welcome, since switch would be a perfect console to have these games onto.

Latest version which is not hosted on ppsspp.org

i've used both and i had better results using the ppsspp.org release to play Burnout Dominator specifically
so it might be worth trying either version if one gives you trouble
