Windows 11 Will Make it Mandatory to Have a Microsoft Account to Log In

Windows 11 already has a bad rep around the web and this.. this just makes it even worse.

While I do have a Microsoft account (when it was still called "Hotmail"), I do not want it linked with an OS. However, Microsoft is forcing users if they want to use 11 in the near future.

You know, when Windows 11 was announced I was interested (although somewhat annoyed as I remember they said W10 would be the final and be updated whenever needed), but after seeing the UI, restrictions, and this bullshit, I now have zero intentions of moving to W11.

11 just continues the trends of 10... This isn't like Xp to Vista to 7...

I'd go AMD if it made sense for me. I don't know. The way things are going, I might have to move to Linux and full AMD. :v

ohno microsoft what are you doing. Well, it's still better than the alternatives.

Never had a good time with linux. it's always hours looking for answers, which no one has, to the question "what? it shouldn't be doing that...". usually it comes down to "use a different distro, then it'll work". I avoid Linux as much as possible, despite having so many command line codes rolling around in my head. I also think Linux developers get a doctorate in "how to do UX and UI as confusingly and annoyingly as possible".

Just like with PC games, it would seem pirates will have the best experience when it comes to Windows. Windows 11 stripped down of all the unnecessary bits is pretty dang quick.

8.1 was finally good.

Too little too late and that start menu just took users to the touchscreen menu, anyway. I was confused why at first and while I understood it (people wanted it back), I just didn't like it (it wasn't the traditional start menu).

11 just continues the trends of 10... This isn't like Xp to Vista to 7...

Zyron personally looks like a solid option for me, but I'm not going to switch to another OS until 2029.



By then, there may be a better distro and Windows 12 could already be available (considering what a trainwreck 11 is).

I'm pretty sure if Microsoft listened to their shareholders, nobody rooted for accounts to force online integration, all the time. Especially sysadmins. Local accounts are absolutely needed to do ANYTHING in I.T. Especially in VMs. You think I.T. managers are just gonna start making dummy Microsoft accounts to log into for their jobs? Hell to the no! Installing Windows offline will become an absolute nightmare if they actually go through with this. Hackers will have to ONCE AGAIN fix their fuck-ups.
