Are you getting this error at the beginning or somewhere in between the installation process? In case of the former try deleting the title.tik file, then use NUSspli to create a new ticket. In case it happens midway you probably need a better power source for the USB drive.

So I open WUP installer on the Wii U. Select the game to install and then select either NAND or USB. Both options give the error right at the beginning before even hitting 1%

How do I delete the title.tik file?

I can only guess some files got corrupted somehow. Maybe while downloading, or when transferring to the SD card. You might have to re-download. @V10lator posted an update that he made to the app, but unfortunately the pastebin page has been deleted. Maybe he still has it?

So it turns out that this is pretty much what happened. Files just became corrupt at some point most likely when downloading to SD card. The three games that I said didn't install were all copied over to the SD card at the same time.

When I re-downloaded one and transferred it alone, it installed fine with no issues.

I actually have another issue..

So FunKiiU was working like a charm. Really fast downloads. SD card transferred from Mac to Wii U and then installed using WUP Installer GX2. All good.

All of sudden this afternoon, I keep getting this error (see image). Even this morning I got a couple of games that installed fine. Just literally this afternoon. 3 different games in a row wont install. I haven't changed any settings or anything. Haven't even played any games since using FunKiiU apart from opening newly installed ones just to check that they run (and they have been fine so far).

Any idea why this is suddenly happening? I initially installed sigpatch to the location specified by Blaine Locklair in his newest Tiramisu guide a couple of weeks back and everything was fine until now.

EDIT: sorry probably should have added. I transfer download to SD card then install the files to the USB external HDD.

That error happens right at the beginning.

I got the same thing when I tried to install a DLC straight to the USB. Installing it to the NAND and then using the native Wii U data management to move it over to the USB solved it.

Also in NUSspli, I've found that if you hit the MINUS/select (-) button when you are browsing titles, you will get the option to download to the SD card, this puts the files into the INSTALL folder, which you can then retry to install using the WUP. I tried using NUSspli to DL and install straight to the USB on DLC and that did not work. It DID work for regular game updates though. Not sure why.

they just said the shop will close, not being unable to download dlc you own or updates. this was true of the wii until recently, though Nintendo claims it was an accident, which seems to be incredulous.
