Hacking [Tutorial] For those unlucky to own a Japanese Wii U - How to play in English, problematic games

What did you use to install these games that were fixed because I followed all the steps and yet it doesn't show up on the Wii U menu at all.

I use NUSspli or WUPInstaller to install games and i make all fixes after install by ftpiiu.
I do install games with all updates.

I can't get the Pikmin 3 and Pokken updates to work at all. There's language files in those that need to be changed too. Pikmin 3 works without the update while Pokken gets to the spinning wheel and just stops loading. I can get back to the main Wii U menu though.

Try to download EUR or USA version of pikmin3 update by NUSspli or wiiiusbhelper extract it and replace language files directly in update folder on your wiiu, should help.
I did not install Pokken So i dont how to help directly but i think you schould try to run it with Spik set to EUR or USA region and language. If that wont help then you should download EUR or USA version extra it and replace files.

I didnt ask, but tell me which tegion version do you install on your console? I am asking because some games need to be installed in JPN version (like Mario party 10) and only then they will work. Its because sometimes there are some movie files or others that need to be in JPN version to run the games. Ofcoure if you install JPN version of the gamę, you have to download EUR or USA version too and then you have to replace the language files.

I think its not possible, i didnt find any solution. You should be able to play it in English with Loadiine, but this metod Can have performance issues.
BTW did you run Pokken and Pikmin? If you did please give a replay to post that helped you or write your solution. This will help someone else kater.

I added the exact console I used in case there's differences between setups and consoles. Figure it'll help to pinpoint which versions work with what mod and console version. One list here has changing the language files for New Super Mario Bros U while mine worked perfect. So, I wonder if there's revisions to the console. Mine was made around late 2015.

Hmm, its strange because mine NSMBU works only after Lang files replacement, but maybe its like you said.

Yes. For the first game check i always use USA version of the gamę. When it doesn't work (directly, with Spiik, with file replacement) then i use JPN version of the game and try to change language. Earlier i used USB Helper but now i use NUSspli most of the time.

Didn't need to move any files at all. Just installed the US version and used Spiik to change the Language to ENG and the region to USA.

I see, it is listed in Change Language so I thought you move the language files.

Mario Kart 8 how to change language: 1. go to content/ui/ee and copy all .mbst files there (do not copy .szs file this causes Encryption DSI occurred!!) 2. go to content/ui/jp and paste the .mbst files(from the ee folder) here 3. You're good to go. the game will boot normally

I tried this, the game booted but still in Japanaese. This is using japanese region, Previously I tried Us version but that stuck on splash screen.
