Hello Team,

My Nintendo Switch got stolen a time ago and therefore my Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee save games were lost.

I am really sad about that and I am trying to look for some process or idea to rebuild a similar save state of the Pokemon Sword in order to, somehow, transfer it to my new Nintendo Switch that I bought when the previous one got stolen.

The way that I thought to, somehow, rebuild my Pokemon Sword Save State:
  • Buying an old Nintendo Switch.
  • Hack it.
  • Rebuild a new savestate with PkHex with the most similar Pokemon and progresss I remember I had.
  • Transfer it from the computer to the hacked Nintendo Switch.
  • And then, transfer this rebuilt PkHex save state from the hacked Nintendo Switch to the new Nintendo Switch that I bought when the previous one got stolen via the OEM method (https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/...a-Nearby-Nintendo-Switch-Console-1549113.html).

Questions:
  • Do you guys know if this is possible?
  • Do you guys know if there is a better way to do this?
Thanks in advance for your help and comprehension.

Best regards

Guille

Do you care about online in either pokemon game?
Because it might change the way you approach things.

If you dont care less, save editors & pkhex is fine. Basically you would backup the save, transfer to pc, edit with pkhex, then restore.

If you do care, & want a safer way that can be used in care free in online battles, discord servers with bots exist. Youd basically create a pokemon using pkhex, then follow the discord instructions to send it to your trainer(online trade), sacrifing a pokemon you couldnt care less about.

In general save editors are unlikely to affect a ban, but considering online multiplayer is involved those odds increase.

Note the above wont progress you to the point your were before in the story, but you can complete as much pokedex & horde as many items as you like.

It is not safe to transfer an edited save, take this as a fact.

Now talking about the odds, with the strategy you suggested. I don't believe that you will get banned if you do run legality check on pkhex itself and do not mess a lot with the custom firmware before the transfer.

There is another path you may try. You can get a hacked 3DS and do transfer using pokemon home. You will not be able to get Gen 8 exclusive, but can get everything else. This is 100% safe, you will not get banned, and it is cheaper than buy two switch consoles. You may even fill your boxes with rare and shiny stuff and use it to get gen 8 pokemon from home trade system

Another alternative way is to build a savefile on the hacked switch, and do local transfers, It will take a while, but this ensure that you will not get banned 100%.

If you want to avoid buying two switches, you may also try just home and anything else.

Just replay the games: this saves a lot hassle and risky business, I can probably help you out if you need a specific pokemon (or eggs or something), I completed my dex and have alle of them in boxes for bdsp (non hacked switch)...

You need access to your stolen console to do the transfer in the first place...

Hey team!

Thank you very much for your answers!

I have had busy times recently by I wanted to be back asking you guys a couple of things:

sadly, Pokemon games do not support cloud saves. also I use pkhex and transfer my saves and go online.

Hi Ely_M,

How do you do it? Do you go on line with hacked Switch without problem?

Thanks in advance,

Best regards

Willsito

yes, I do go online on hacked switch without any problems. your copies of your games have to be legit purchased by you,
or physical copies. Zero piracy or any tools that have to do with piracy installed. only save editors and themes and cheats.
I also use game carts as possible.

Thank for answering ELY_M!

Just to confirm:

My legit copy of Pokemon Sword is a digital one, not cart, so, would I have any problem whenever I hack the Switch and upload to it the edited save of the Pokemon Sword and go on line like trading Pokemon or battling on line with it?

Thanks in advance,

Best regards

Yeah if you mess around with the save file and go online you'll probably get banned. If you want to keep online features you'd be best off not hacking your switch and just starting a new game.

Alright... So if I do that, I should not do "strange" things or complicated modifications to the save file if I do that...

Any amount of hacking can get you banned.
Hello Draxzelex,

Thanks for your meassage.

Now I am confused, as ELY_M says "I do go online on hacked switch without any problems" and " only save editors and themes and cheats"

So, is it possible to go on line with a legit edition of the save file or not?
