Thank you so much for the Remote Play part, I didn't know it'd work without PSN connection.
Now the Vita (with ~100 games I want to play installled...) can also control the PS4 (with 100+ games to go) lol.

Nice work bud. Couple things that came to mind checking it out that might be useful to add.

Some detailed instructions on different dumping methods could be useful as well. Maybe a tutorial on FTP dumping and one on USB dumping. Couldn't hurt to mention the issue that Leeful pointed out about using a 9020 port binloader instead of Goldhen's default 9090 port binloader to avoid issues with the dump. Finding this tidbit saved me a lot of headache recently that the baked in binloader was causing me when trying to dump to a USB drive. Also some breakdown for explaining the workarounds for encrypted trophies could help others.

Link to Leeful explaining the port issue in goldhen's binloader: https://gbatemp.net/threads/looking-for-ps4-dump-help.604683/page-2

Interesting, didn't heard of the potential issues with goldhen. I'll update the section. I did overhaul the dumping section, adding NP fix and Remastered packages fix too.

A USB thumb drive has to be inserted every time the console is turned on for 9.0 users. How large does this thumb drive have to be?

Not large indeed, take note tho that you can't reuse the USB drive after. You can format it of course, but you need the drive everytime you JB, and can't put more files on it after you use the img. Also note that some USB drives are kinda iffy, so make sure you have at least a somewhat recognizable brand

Okay, perfect. I have an old 128mb flash drive I can use for that :)
I tried it with an old Kingston 8GB USB2.0 stick (smallest I had lying around) and it never worked, the console crashed every time.
Went with an Intenso 8GB USB3.0 (the smallest I could buy), no problem at all.

Or rather, I explicitly bought the USB3 because I had no spares. After a week, I somehow thought it was 16GB instead of 8, and wanted to actually use it instead of "wasting" it for JB, and thus tried replacing it with the old 8GB USB2 one which catastrophically failed.

YMMV, of course. If it doesn't work with that 128MB stick, maybe this is the problem.
You might want to disconnect any external HDD drives before trying :D

I haven't tested the exploit, but from what I've heard, one way to know if the drive will work is if it the pc detects it after flashing the image. if it asks you to format the drive after unplugging/plugging back in, it probably won't work. I don't know if that's true though.

Just reformatted the USB2.0 stick with the exfathax image.
Windows asks to format it, and it didn't work with the exploit.

No, that's not true. A 16GB flash drive I just used was not detected. I had to use Window's Disk Management software in order to format it and give it a drive path.

Hmmmmmm https://github.com/stooged/PS4-Server-900u uses a USB2.0 extension, so my assumption about drive speed most likely is wrong.
Not sure why the Kingston stick failed, then.
It can vary but I did see various exfathax.img floating around that vary in size (not sure why tho). This is the original that should be used: https://github.com/ChendoChap/pOOBs4/blob/main/exfathax.img
As for how to flash it to a USB, I recommend rufus. Indeed after flashing, Windows will not ask you to format anymore, it will be hidden and only visible in Disk Management

Just two notes:

1. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't anything about Save Mounting/Replacement/PSN Activation?

2. mc-17/pspack-flask on github (can't post a link yet) is a really simple way to host your own PS4 GoldHEN and might be simpler than the stack you've got now.
