Rune Factory 5 teases its story in new trailer

The localization of Rune Factory 5 is almost here. Publisher XSEED has decided to tease some of the game's story and gameplay in a new short trailer, where you'll get a glimpse at some of the dub cast, animal riding, farming, and enemies. Also revealed was the game's pre-order bonus, which is a Wooly head keychain, available at select retailers throughout North America, Europe, and Australia. Rune Factory 5 launches as a Nintendo Switch exclusive on March 22, 2022.

Please elaborate. Is this game SoS: olive town level of buggy? God I hate that game and even hate myself for playing it, but RF are generally all very high quality

My opinions come from my persona experiences with the series.
In the case of this one the game is out in Japan since last year i have it i played it the bugs are a constant complaint from the Japanese fanbase. this one my most waited game in a decade since the 4th one was pretty good. this series was the first DS game i got into.

Many complaints from what I have seen myself playing and reading Japanese fanbase comments I would say as a buggy with some really annoying load times

Many were expecting the NOV update to fix a lot of bugs but instead of doing that the update just made the characters gay now by request of xseed and no bugs were fixed.

I think the fact that the game has less content than RF4 also really affects it since instead of giving us more content they instead change sexualities of the characters via force update.

..... dear Lord...
RF4 is like my favorite game ever. I eagerly awaited this sequel for the last 10 years.
Thanks for crushing my dreams, kind bastard

That's kind of a big deal for me, I hate being genderlocked to marriages in sims because I never want to pursue the love interests, they don't appeal to me so I lose out on a whole aspect of the game... but now... 🥰

Anybody know what the general consensus on the game is, like compared Rune Factory 4?
I think a lot of people would consider RF4 a masterpiece, and almost like lightning in a bottle for the farming/life sim genre. Is this new one as in-depth and expansive?

Okay, ew, no male PC in thumbnail. Disappointing.

Otherwise...looks fine to me, if you like farming sims.
Seriously, when are Men finally gonna get the representation they deserve?!?!?!

Xseed got this game delayed so they could add pandering
And how dare Xseed give some of the community what they want! (For the record, I'm all for fixing the bugs and issues, but I love when people criticize a dev for "pandering," because that means they're literally playing to their audience... the nerve!)

thank god i already finished the definitive edition of the game (japanese), it's nice to be able to understand and finish the original versions of these games before these shitty distributors do the """localized""" version.

why do gaming companies...tell their customers to pre-order a game that hasn't released yet?...were not even on march yet...jeez, i know for a fact if they wouldn't have added said useless feature, this game would have dropped easily quickly cause it looks done on the translation bit....

anyway i can't until it drops will play it.

*see* i *knew it* -i warned the west(note; was on reddit commenting about it - like making people seriously *think* before assuming that they care for people at all... - like it's red flags slapped in your face that it grosses me out when they do it to me as well :/.. i just ditch the game at that point because it's gonna end up being a terrible gaming experience T_T...pandering doesn't lead to anything good) about it but people didn't wanna listen instead screech like a bunch of snowflakes over me simply pointing out that it isn't because they like your views, it's because of pandering - they don't care about your sexuality because if they did - **this** would've been added in the game since the beginning, by the way japan doesn't shy away from that type of genre in gaming because it has been done in otome games for years now. so no excuse.

but this was obviously done on purpose just to get more sheeps money - but gosh that is depressing that they still haven't fixed the bugs..i am sad about that...i just wow..i am so sorry.
