so i did a slight oopsie, i have two separate flash drives for wii and gcn isos, i was going to play some gcn games so i plugged in my gcn flash drive, but i must've turned my brain off because i launched usb loader gx instead of nintendont, it seemed to have reformatted the drive to wbsf, maybe.

after plugging it into my pc and trying to reformatting it the issue worsened, now the drive isnt recognized by a pc at all, so theres no chance to even use wbfs manager IF that has some sort of recovery tool.

any help on this at all? i know its probably a lost cause, but im running low on flash drives, and ordering new ones is a pain.

nope, completely unrecognized, again, 90% sure this is a lost cause but im hoping somebody knows of some arcane magic with some crusty 2009 homebrew software that magically fixes flash drives or some bullshit like that
Hello,

already, start by connecting your usb key to your PC and see how it behaves and see in what format is it?

I still don't understand how this happened exactly.. You can try with a partition management software and see if it shows up as unformatted/ or as 2 partitions etc. there's many options to fiddle with.
im pretty sure the usb loader automatically reformats a drive when you open one that isnt wbfs, and that happened to me, and when i tried to reformat it on my pc it failed and now its not recognized by a pc, ill try your suggestion though.

its not detected at all, and after awhile after its plugged in my pc gives me a message saying something along the lines of: your drive cant be read by the computer, it may be corrupted, and do you mean what its formatted to or the partitioning format

i think the problem may be that its formatted in wbfs and after windows failed to reformat it it decided to ignore its existence, ill try loading it in usb loader to try and confirm that

So it's not recognized by your pc because it's formated as wbfs which i understand, it's just needs reformatting, does it show up in disk manager (if you're on Windows)?

its not showing up in disk manager, which is making me think when i tried reformatting it on windows it broke the drive somehow, wbfs2fat32 is not recognizing it or giving me an option to select other devices either

i tried updating the drivers with device manager, as it appears as a broken usb device in there, but windows did the same thing and said its unreadable and wouldnt mount it.
