I've been gifted a 360 with a flashed dvd drive. I downloaded the Eternal Sonata AlvRo iso (with all the games I didn't play, I choose a Jrpg on a Microsoft console lol) and I burned it with the layer break 1913760, imgburn and a cheap dual layer for testing (Memorex).

The game works (the first 15 minutes for sure), but it doesn't setup (it stops at about 50%) and even now and then, when I try to play with the dvd, it blocks the system and I've to hard reset.

It's iso, dvd burner or cheap dvd's fault, or I missed something?

They also gave me 10 games (mostly Traxdata) which all works and setup.

Some games are larger than the maximum capacity of these DVDs and need a special burner drive that supports overburn. Could be that this is one of those games but I don’t know. Checking the ISO with ABGX seems like a good idea tho

What does ABGX360 say?
Just checked it and the result is: "All CRCs match, veritification was successful". The ISO seems to be perfect. So, it's possible my DVD Burner didn't make a perfect copy for any reason or that the Memorex DVD is too low quality/my XBOX drive doesn't digest it?

ABGX also created a .dvd file, but it's the layer break I used.

I'd use verbatim if I were you. most systems seem to be picky about burned discs.
Yep, I think it's the safest way to burn again. The only thing is I've to get them from eBay or Amazon (I live in a small town with only Memorex available).

I also confirm it's xgd2 (lower than 8 gb, and the image is called xgd2 when I open it with ImgBurn).

Thanks for the tips, i'll update you :)

I know for sure that that disc image shouldn't be corrupted anyway, because I recently downloaded eternal sonata from the same uploader as you. I downloaded the full iso, ripped it to a jtag rip with exiso, then tested it on my jtag. no issues. my save is still present. I posted a couple of pics of it in another thread. the reason I got the game is because I had forgotten about it, and apparently it's not on the bc list for the series x, so I can't get it there anyway.
