I bought a second hand PSP and i noticed analog sticks works randomly when i press any button on d-pad. Analog stick doesn't move but it somehow works on random positions (I used button test application) Should i clean up the analog stick or replace it?

It's probably just worn down to be honest. It happens over time. There's a plugin that allows you to calibrate the analog stick deadzone to prevent this- but it only helps so much in certain cases.

Oh- actually one other possibility that comes to mind is the little rubber piece with the metal filaments in it that makes the contact for analog registers. It could be out of place or worn out causing random analog feedback. I'd check both of these possibilities out if you can.

I think i found the real issue. This metal part makes analog stick feedback whenever i touch it. Is it possible to fix or replace this part? Is this part connected to motherboard? Is my psp unfixable?

What metal part? Could you kindly edit your post and photo with the part in question circled?

Edit: And one of the plugins that will allow you to do this is called MacroFire

Well, i was wrong about flex cable being the issue. I'm sorry about that. The REAL issue is this screw. No matter how much i tighten it, it still loosens up. I tried replacing this screw with one of the L R trigger screws. and the issue is still same. Is there a way to tighten this screw more?

The likely problem here is likely one of two things then:
1 - The screw stub in the PSP's housing for that screw position is stripped out and it really is messing with the contact. Meaning in this case you'll need one that's slightly thicker (extremely slightly) and a finer thread so as to grab the stub's remaining threadspace better. Check through the metric screws section at a hardware store like Ace Hardware.

2- The little transparent brick with the contact filaments in it for the analog is seated correctly. You can check this under the PCB behind the LCD.

Alternatively- you may want to consider replacing the system's housing shell if the screw stub is very stripped. A loose setup like that can have your left speaker cutting in and out.

I could do the repair for you but I'd have to charge you for the parts and time. (which unless you really like that PSP in particular you might just consider buying another console... it's up to you) If you want me to do it we need to figure out how you're gonna pay/send me the device. It's on the table

Thanks for offering help. Unfortunately i don't live in Europe or USA, so the shipping might be expensive.

Someone on discord said that i need to change the shell (backplate) because there wasn't enough pressure to rubber piece. I don't know which piece i should buy? The rubber piece, screws or a shell?

All depends on how much you want to work on it. A shell replacement very well may be needed if the threads in the screw stubs are stripped. Otherwise the system literally doesn't hold together properly.

You can try the screws only option- but to be honest that's a temp fix and might lead to further damage to the shell with it being taken apart and put back together. But if you don't plan on opening it a bunch the screws option will work for a while.

I recommend - buying a new shell. It would come with new screws and such too. It's a little bit tricky if you haven't done it before- just be gentle and look up a YT video on opening/removing certain pieces. Namely- the UMD door is a bit tricky to remove. Be patient and gentle with it.
