I couldn't find any updated information on this, I recall awhile ago at least in Japan their was a few 3ds movies released via Nintendo video, did anyone ever crack that open and can I convert the 3d movies I watch on PC to be viewable on my 3ds? I came across a dude injecting videos, but alas they weren't 3d :(

Cool story. Japan got full movies that have been ripped into cia and are ready to pirate, just curious if anyone made a good tool for injecting and converting my own 3d movies I paid for.... Their were people manually doing it a few years ago, and a tool was being worked on, but I can't find the thread.

It's crazy people don't know about the official Nintendo Mobiclip software, you can build 3d video files and run them with the official 3ds movie player app (both illegal to obtain unless you're officially signed up with nintendo.) It's actually kind of a pain in the ass to convert movies to 3d, the conversion process itself lowers the gain on the volume in videos, so you need to boost the gain of the audio before converting.

Hi everyone!

Over the past few weeks, I've been busy converting a variety of 3D movies into .moflex files, which are compatible with the 3D Movie Player (.cia) on the 3DS. I'm excited to share some of my latest conversions with you all; you can find them in the link below!

In my extensive search across the internet, I stumbled upon a 3D SBS (side-by-side) version of the Super Mario Bros movie. Interestingly, there's no official 3D BluRay release of this movie, and it's worth noting that this isn't a 2D to 3D conversion—it's native 3D! The version I found was in Spanish, but fortunately, it also included English audio as a secondary option. So, I went ahead and converted it into a .moflex file, which you'll also find in the Mega folder.

I've ensured that all movies are in their native aspect ratios and encoded at a high bitrate to maintain excellent quality. Additionally, the Mega folder contains the 3D Movie Player .cia file, which you'll need to install on your 3DS. Simply place the .moflex movie files at the root of your SD card, and you're all set to enjoy some 3D cinema on your device.

I truly hope you find these conversions enjoyable. Happy watching!

I am curious if there are any +18 3d videos i can watch on my 3ds? Did anyone try this!
I had some but my 3DS died few minutes after the first movie I watched. I sent the 3DS to Nintendo because it was under warranty but they said that liquid damages are not part of the warranty.

Do i have to download my own videos and convert them?

I remember back in the symbian and java phone days, there were wap sites with 3gp compatible videos i was able to donwload and watch on my phone without having to use a pc. Is there something like this for 3ds?

I've explored this, too, and there's indeed a community tweaking the system for custom content. Some have tried injecting videos, but getting 3D movies onto your 3DS isn't as straightforward. If you crack the code, share the bounty!
Speaking of movies, what are the best movies out you have watched recently? I plan to go to the cinema with my kids, and we are still deciding what to watch. Please share your recommendations!

I'd be interested trying out 3D videos on the 3DS even though I could never really get that 3D experience from 3DS games.

Do CIA files of 3D movies exist? Not where, rather do they truly?

Google is your Best friend.

there is no 3D effect but You can convert your legal backup movies to .dpg format and play them using moonshell.nds.

3D videos from YouTube work on the 3DS, so maybe it's as easy as uploading the movies somewhere and watching on the 3DS browser.
I did this. I created http ftp client by "Fenyx" app (or something like that), opened folder in 3DS browser and played converted in Youtube format mp4. Not bad, but Moflex format has better quality because of better bitrate.
