I tried to verify my wii games md5 sums with the one on Gametdb and I do not find any match...

It's games I rip from my DVDs into wbfs with usbloader gx. I tried to md5sum some wbfs and some wbfs converted into .iso with Wimm iso tools ("wit COPY foo.wbfs foo.iso -I") and I do not find any match.

Therefore I was wondering : What is the reference format for calculating crc/md5/sha1 which are found on GameTDB ?

And here is a bonus question : Does converting back and forth with WIT can mess the checksum ?

Since one or two years, you can convert wbfs to iso with the recovertoiso program from the nkit utilities, retaining the original CRC32, md5sum...

You will need to provide a redump datfile, from dats.site for example, so the program can bruteforce the gaps in the file in order to match the redump hashes and obtain a 1:1 redump verifiable iso.

If the wbfs was created discarding some partitions, typically the update partition, you have to provide these partitions to the nkit utilities. You can find them easily, seach for nkit recovery partitions.
