how to connect 3DS audio to PC with an aux cord

I want to connect my 3DSs audio to my PC but plugging the aux in doesnt work, I tested the cable connecting it to a speaker and it works, but when I connect to my PC it doesnt play any sound

I just use a jack cable from the 3DS to my PC aux in to stream and it works without issue, try to update your audio driver and check.

Also it won't play sound on your PC by default, you need to "listen" to the aux input, you can do that in windows sound panel:
