I have tried again and I'd say there are still less peds than the default config (which is configurable now, of course) but enough to accomplish that mission 👍

I'm wondering why the GBATemp file is small (2MB) while the 4pda file is the regular ~30MB.

It just can't be. Now the density of pedestrians for all presets is increased even more than the original
0.3 > 0.4
0.4 > 0.5
0.5 > 0.6
0.6 > 0.7
So I don't believe you =) Check your settings.
Whithout mod "Simulation Scale" is set to "1", "Medium" (0.4), now it's 0.5 on default settings.

On 4pda i uploaded a full "main" file. It's more comfortable for me.

i just updated and i dont see any deference really, there is no Graphical improvements, stick to ecl0674 Patch, thats the real fix

Useless to do that. Updates are important for fixing serious collision bugs that break the in-game experience. It is much better for mods to work in newer updates than wasting time supporting older versions.

Collision coordinates fixes are definitely a welcome addition. I wonder how they misplaced them in first place. Some of them are WAY too far from the real geometry.

Update #4 [25.11.2021]
  • Mod updated for game version 1.0.3
    • Be sure to delete the old "pakchunk0-Switch_1_p.pak" file when upgrading and old exefs patch
  • Reduced image brightness
    • In the Switch version, it was slightly higher than the standard
  • Slightly increased drawing range of small objects
    • Adjusted by the option "Distance Scaling"
  • Slightly increased sun / moon light intensity
  • Increased Shadow Amount
    • Shadows will now be slightly darker
  • SSAO now uses Compute Shader instead of Pixel Shader
    • This slightly degraded the quality of SSAO with TAA anti-aliasing, but increased performance.
  • Increased car density for all presets of the "Simulation Scale" option
  • Filtering of Specular and Normal Map textures changed from linear to anisotropic
  • Anisotropic texture filtering reduced from 4x to 2x
  • Slightly reduced resolution of cascaded shadows
  • Increased drawing range of large objects
    • For all presets the "Graphics Quality" option. For example, low-quality HLOD buildings will now display less closely

Perhaps the increase of vehicle density and drawing range was a mistake. Let me know if the performance gets significantly worse.

I have recorded a 100% characters missions (including extras) playthrough with the graphics mod. It was the update #2 and 1.0.2, since it was recorded a few days ago. I also activated the SSAO and disabled the AA (since it looks really bad with SSAO, and I don't mind a few jaggies).



Yesterday I completed the Playstation 2 version and, even having far more performance issues, it feels 10x better. At least GSS is improving it, which is something that I didn't expect.
