Good afternoon! I have a odd question, maybe but the way I currently have my Trinket M0 setup is that it boots to menu, and I choose what I want to do. However if I choose 'Reboot' -> 'OFW' or i launch OFW from the menu, I have to eject the SD card and put in the OFW SD card before it boots... since if you boot to OFW and put in your OFW SD Card it will ask to reboot before it can be used.

I guess I have 3 questions:
1. Can I simply put the hekate bootloader and payload.bin files on the legit OFW SD Card? That way I can setup auto boot, and it'll just bring my to OFW with all legit games on the SD Card? I dunno if Nintendo searches for those specific files or anything.

2. Is there a payload file that I can rename to payload1.bin that will auto boot OFW? Like an alternative to hekate... or is there a way to have 2 hekate payloads (payload, payload1.bin) but have payload1.bin go to a different hekate_ipl.ini file?

3. Is there anyway to bypass the trinket m0 without unsoldering the volume up wire?

Ideally id love to just have the OFW SD Card in and either autoboot to OFW, or find some way to have it bypass the trinket so it just boots normal.

Hoping someone can help me out, thanks!!!

You can add the option to boot into OFW from Hekate :

Maybe those settings are missing in your ini file.

I would recommendd setting up an emuNAND so you can boot into OFW or CFW without having to swap your SD card.
But I think you need to install games on the CFW on the internal memory or else your SD card will be dirty and
Nintendo will ban your OFW.
That is something you need to check out.

Booting with Hekate into OFW usually doesn't get you banned.
Every time you go into the eShop or try to look for updates, the Switch checks for illegal tickets.
When the Switch finds such tickets, you get banned after a while.

  1. Yes you can because it wouldn't make sense for Nintendo to scan for files. Not only is it potentially illegal but it can also lead to false positives
  2. There is no dedicated payload that boots OFW however you can setup an autoboot profile with Hekate that boots Stock mode
  3. I don't believe so

What do you mean by "tickets"?
I've had the exact same question yesterday - only made a backup in hekate and booted into OFW with the same SD card inserted. No CFW. Since I wasn't online yet, I'd be able to do a restore if necessary - but I don't know if that's something to worry about

It check for if you legally bought those title, if you didn't you get flagged for a banned, pirated games get you flagged for a ban.

Pirated games still need tickets to launch similar to legitimate copies. The difference is that pirated games have fake tickets that are missing Nintendo's signature which is bypassed with ES patches.

But then, doesn‘t deleting the tickets with the tinfoil menu+delete the games fix the problem ?
