Would it be technically feasible to hide images in the Meme Box which were submitted by ignored users? I'm sure that such a feature would be rather low priority given the upcoming site-refresh, but it would be nice.

Holy crap, why is everyone pissed and saying OP is insecure when they've submitted valid criticism about a broken feature?
Have you seen the meme box content.
It's extremely specific to dislike someone's meme posts when literally the entire box is just rehashes of others memes and not even original in first place, usually it's all same related stuff.

The fact meme box is a massive shitpost in itself (and is worse if you read thread)
So disliking the specific content in that box and asking the blacklist to not show it yet being fine with rest extremely picky.
Basically it's like not liking 1 of 2 foods that taste exactly the same but are just a minor shade colour difference.
Proven more by the most niche thread I have seen outside of the cesspit called the forum edge.

Op would have a better time just using adblock and removing the meme box from view with right click

It's basically like image searching something not liking that one vague gallery image that is basically like 99% of the other results just minimally different.
Then asking Google to blacklist those types of thing for you

Some people are just more concerned with how I use the site than I am, lol.
Don't worry.
Good critisism always get's the most ad hominem, cause they can't refute the point.

You did a great job on the suggestion.

Shame it cannot be implemented due to technical limitations, but you did everything you could.

Personally I hope to not have to overuse the ignore feature, but I believe it has its merit.
(.... What is the nr. of maximum users one can ignore ? Asking for my cat...)

Its such incredibly low priority it may never be looked into yeah. If you dislike someone so much you can not even stomach seeing a meme posted by them maybe you need a break from the internet for a bit.

L take.

Users should be able to completely block each other and should not be subjected to political propaganda in the form of memes.
I think it's a good idea.
The entire reason you would ignore them is to IGNORE THERE CONTENT.
W take.

I appreciate the allowance of controversial posting in certain areas
but of course this means that users are free to post offensive content (what is offensive is entirely subjective).

btw labeling stuff as shitposting is a red herring.
The viewpoints contained in the memes are still someone's belief, even if not the OP.

Exactly, idk why some mods here are toxic about keeping the site as is, or with more rules, the forum is very flawed, needs to be fixed

I agree, just turn off your router and close the curtains and you will be safe from glimpsing something upsetting.
