Would it be technically feasible to hide images in the Meme Box which were submitted by ignored users? I'm sure that such a feature would be rather low priority given the upcoming site-refresh, but it would be nice.
I think it's a good idea.Would it be technically feasible to hide images in the Meme Box which were submitted by ignored users? I'm sure that such a feature would be rather low priority given the upcoming site-refresh, but it would be nice.
The images could also be a cause on why you ignored themI think it's a good idea.
The entire reason you would ignore them is to IGNORE THERE CONTENT.
With all due respect, that same reasoning can be used to argue against the entire system we have for ignoring users. As WiiMiiSwitch suggests, the reason that I desire such a feature is not because I personally dislike anyone so greatly that the mere fact that they made a post is enough to send me into paroxysms. Rather, it's because I find that certain individuals' posts tend to make my day a bit less pleasant. That the method of their communication was via image rather than text is immaterial to whether I find the content unpleasant. That being said, I'm still here so clearly it doesn't bother me enough to cause me to abandon the site and/or the internet. I simply saw no harm in making the suggestion. Its such incredibly low priority it may never be looked into yeah. If you dislike someone so much you can not even stomach seeing a meme posted by them maybe you need a break from the internet for a bit.
I get what you mean but the meme box is usually the same garbage meme repeated 10 times in a row with slight variations. It's not like a few memes from someone you ignored can do much worse. With all due respect, that same reasoning can be used to argue against the entire system we have for ignoring users. the meme box is a custom component developed by us so we don't have all the flexibility or the tools that XenForo relies on in their standard core forum code. It's very difficult to account for these subtle user-based settings.Wait, if someone is ignored, their content still shows up in the Meme Box? That's such a weird exception, almost seems like an oversight.
Nice stawman, you selfish, apathetic prick. Why don't you just quit being a puss? If your day gets ruined by what some stranger posts on the internet, maybe it's time to think about some self improvement. Sounds like a you problem
cry him a riverNice stawman, you selfish, apathetic prick.
I think you're misunderstanding WHY I requested this feature. I could hardly care less about who posts what. No, it's the content itself that I'd rather not see.also the easier solution would be to just not show the posters names in meme box (if they ever fix it)
if your literally that triggered by a persons name/beliefs that trivial miscellaneous content unnerves you to this level, you really need to re-evaluate your personal problems.
or just get yourself a browser plugin that lets you blacklist/hide words and add the persons name
Step away from the internet. Put down the smart phone and nobody gets hurt. (You poor, bubble wrapped fool)I think you're misunderstanding WHY I requested this feature. I could hardly care less about who posts what. No, it's the content itself that I'd rather not see.
Well now, if you really feel so strongly about this, you can always make your own suggestion thread requesting they remove the ability to ignore users.Step away from the internet. Put down the smart phone and nobody gets hurt. (You poor, bubble wrapped fool)
If I don't use the internet, how will I find funny memes to look at?Step away from the internet. Put down the smart phone and nobody gets hurt. (You poor, bubble wrapped fool)
