Hacking Pokémon Radical Red save file keeps deleting itself (ez flash omega)

I recently received my EZ flash omega cartridge which I bough specifically to play Pokémon rom hacks such as Radical Red. I installed the latest firmware for the ez flash and loaded the rom hack to the as card. I did write to nor clean and nor add on. And I have all the addons selected already. I played the game for 30 minutes, saved in game as well as saved state. When I went to boot the game up again, the game stated my file was deleted and my save state froze every time I tried to load it up. Am I missing a step somewhere? If anyone could help, it would be a lot of help, otherwise i will probably look to return the flash cartridge.

I have not tried the original game. I will try later on tonight. Is this issue only for rom hacks?

I just tried an original version of Pokemon Leaf green. The cartridge deleted my save file and I cannot load the sav. Also it wont allow me to nor clean or nor addon (says not enough space)

I'm not quite sure what you mean by your description of the sav file being deleted. Are you using in-game save or save state?

Can you check the ROM file which you were using by GBATA - GameBoy Advance Tool, to see the save type of the ROM.

I think you may be using a ROM that has been patched with SRAM type, and original save type of Pokemon game is FLASH.


About the NOR not enough space, Are there other games already written on NOR flash?
