So i bought a gba cart from ebay and it doesnt want to save. I got a small CR1616 battery and soldered it to the points but it still does not want to save. Anyone want to take a look at the pics and let me know if i messed something up or is there something else i am suppose to do on the PCB? Bridge something? cut lines?

There is this guy on youtube that explains how to do it but his PCB is different,

A couple things here.
1. That is not an official Nintendo cartridge. I don't expect it to work at all.
2. From the looks of it, these degrade VERY fast depending on play habits in general.
I would expect the developer to know how their own cartridge works, but it is not official, and I doubt normal methods could fix it.

EDIT:
3. Wouldn't this technically be cramming a cartridge? If those are all GBA games, that seems like it wouldn't work. A Gameboy game is like 14-ish megabytes, and the ending result of 369 games would be 5166 megabytes. I would expect saves to be loaded from a MicroSD.

Well its actually a scam, those are not all gameboy advance games. Its more like 10 GBA games on this thing and the rest are shit homebrew games made to look like other old Sega/NES games that totally suck. but there is a few nice GBA games on this so i wanted to fix it to make it work normally.

This cart doesn't seem to be supporting a battery.. You should do more research before actually starting to solder the board! I'm not too familiar with GBA carts, but I know that the cartridge board and the chips will have to support a battery if it's going to work!

They're made with left over pancake/wafle batter, that's been sitting out all day.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it
