Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy coming to PS5 and PC in Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

After being teased and previously leaked by PlayStation's official Steam page, it's been officially revealed that Uncharted 4 is coming to PC, and PlayStation 5 as well. Not only that, but Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be included as well, under the title Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Currently, there is no release date beyond "early 2022" for PS5, with the PC version set to follow shortly after. Iron Galaxy, who previously helped bring The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to Nintendo Switch and assisted in the PC release of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy and Crash N.Sane Trilogy will be behind the PC port.

As mentioned, definitely disappointed they aren't bothering with the collection too, but I get why they didn't. "Want to experience Nathan Drake's story from the beginning? Buy our console for the exclusive collection! Don't care/already played them? Eh PC I guess!"

I would guess it's way more difficult porting from ps3 to pc than ps4 to pc.

Aren't both games available on PS4?

Makes sense remastering them to be able to port them to PC, but PS5 makes no sense at all because you can just play the PS4 versions

I curse the day devs decided to "remaster" last-gen games, specially with minor upgrades
I get the reason for porting to pc, but yea i dont see point in porting to ps5 when ps5 can play ps4 games.

I also dont see again slapping remaster when its a port, theres not much theyll do to improve the game, be same models, same textures just looking slightly bettet due to running on better hardware.

Just like emulating conkers bad fur day (n64) looks miles better than it did on the n64, but nothing of the game has been remastered at all.

And this is whats wrong with gaming these days, too many devs cant be arsed to make something new, so theyll keep porting its old stuff and throw the word remaster so the sheep blindly go rebuy it again.

But at least its not done by bend, who did a totally shit job at porting days gone to pc, having bugs that weren't even present in the ps4 version.

They didnt test the game at all, just ported it over and let the gamers who buy it do all the bug testing and wait for them to fix.

Such as
Flashlight on your vest, facing forward, yet pc version if you turn camera, so does the flashlight, so you could be facing forward, but flashlight be behind you.

Not been able to save unless your facing your bike.

Black screen of death either before a mission or after a missions cut scene and your forced to close the game from task manager.

Horde nests not having anything there, yet you can hear them and when you leave the area he says hmmm ill come back later to clear the nest.

Events that wpuld trigger a mission or side quest doesn't happen and your stuck there trying to start it, but it wont.

Ive provided them in game video footage of these bugs and they dont evem reply, still waiting for them to fix the black screen bug as ive done everything currently possible and everytime i finish the mission, i kept my name, it will hang on black screen after the cutscene and when i force close the game and load it back up, ive to do the mission again.

Had same bug on a previous mission where you chase the helicopter, again you return to your bike and it should cut to a flashback, but no, black screen.

Luckily i was able to pass this as a user on reddit had a game save shortly after this mission, so i had to do all the side quests and intel missions again, to then hit the bug at a later mission.

Ohh also another bug i reported are ones where you have to listen in on the scientists and you have to keep hidden, few times your just sat there in the bushes waiting for the lead scientist to move on after listening to the entire conversation and they do nothing, just stand there and if you think ohh lets try distract them maybe, nope nothing, they just stand there.

And they also cant see me, even if im stood right in front of them.

Its like it fails to trigger the escape area part.

So i have to fail the mission by shooting at them.

I just hope the uncharted games arent riddled with bugs, id also like to see the uncharted trillogy ported over too.

I can already play the game at 60 fps on pro but I'm glad for the PC versions. Somebody will make a mod and I will finally be able to crack the empty skull of that black whore.

Umm what? It's 30fps even on the Pro or PS5.

It can run upto 60 if you know how to hex edit eboot.bins. TLOU2 doesn't run on the same engine (checkerboarding doesn't work, it's good old 1440p) and suffers perf penalties though with param.sfo tricks it can also run upto 50ish.

That's pretty cool. Recently when I googled this all I got were results only on the base PS4 which had to run at 540p, even if I check now, nothing on how it fares on the Pro.

That's because the base doesn't have a dedicated checkerboarding scaler and usually the engines don't allow arbitrary resolutions like 800p/768p or so. Still, you have seen one bad example like 540p and it clouded your mind to the concept. Many 30fps 1080p on base games can achieve higher results with 720p.

On pro, so far there's one single game I hated playing. All the ones I tried worked very smooth like Tsushima, Sekiro and HZD. My TV has motion interpolation from 48 fps to 60 fps (I can't differentiate from real 60 fps during movement, alas text is another story) and I even play RDR2 very fluently.

Pro's being held back by marketing and brand image bullshit because the xbox fans would call it a "720 machine" then.

Wait so you're not actually playing at 60fps but 48fps or so?

Uncharted is almost always 60. I rarely see low 50s (it has a built in verbose frametime graph).

But for others I said "upto 60". I don't have an exact measurement way because console by native doesn't capture any more than 30 fps. When I use chiaki remoteplay for 60fps and then use OBS to screen capture it from PC, I drop frames and can't use teardrop for exact measurement. But if it feels absolutely smooth and without judder on my TV, I know for a fact that it's above 48.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Don't mind "base" it's only a placeholder of teardrop I didn't edit. (screenshot is reduced, actual render resolution is 1080p on pro)

I think it's kinda getting old with these remasters imo, they're new titles thus they won't benefit much from the remasters treatment, and if there's some boost in fps/resolution or even other effects, why couldn't it be just an "upgrade" for the people who already bought the game on PS4 (either digitally or in disc), and for ones who didn't will just pay normally for the PS5 version. It just like in PC, if you have a potato pc and you upgrade to a much capable machine, you don't "pay" for the upgrade 'cause it was there. Now, i know there's definitely some work put by the developers for these enhancements, i' m not saying it's a straight up port, and i could even go for a 10~15$ for the upgrade, but just not full retail price IMHO.
