Regarding GameBoy games, I really recommend playing the original Metroid 2! The two remakes (the official and AM2R) are good and all, but they fail to capture the feeling of the original. A weird mix of calmness, hostility and exploration. It's my favorite game in the series.

If anyone decides to play it, I recommend applying the EJRQT colorization patch and two other small fixes. Be sure to apply them in the order linked:

Something I said was mentioned on the last episode, but I decided to respond here. (I was busy, so I hadn't come along until much later)

For reference, this is what has happened so far:
1. Due to the nature of episode 52, I decided to comment on a mispronunciation that had occurred that episode, and as far back as the third.
2. Some lawyer has been pressuring me to explicitly identify who has been doing the mispronouncing, and has expressed his intentions to call somebody out.

Given one of the topics of the third episode, this lawyer should have been able to figure it out.

That’s be rad if, when a remake was released, the original game would be packaged with. For example, when Tetris1989 gets a remaster, the original rom/game would be an unlockable content. Perhaps as DLC, that would make more money sense. They could totally do it, it’s not that rude.

Oh, yeah! Zero Mission was neat. After finishing the main storyline the original game would unlock. Having both games on the same system (and cartridge) made it much more accessible to compare them (especially in the days before official VC emulation). Since many probably would never have played the original, it probably helped people appreciate the original more.

Makes me wonder why no Zelda game ever included the original NES game... It looks crude and simplistic at first, but once you start really explore and unlock items it has serious scale and depth. Most people emulating it would probably just spend a few minutes wandering around and dying randomly without discovering just how much it has to offer.

Putting aside all the fun everyone are having teasing you about this, I would also like to say I feel a lot of sympathy for what happened to you. I had a similar experience with my pokemon blue cartridge as a kid, but you had 3 entire pokedexes! (minus some unimportant event). I can't begin to imagine just how much time you must have spent accomplishing that.
