Everybody should be giving Hitman a go, especially if you got Hitman 1 from PS+ many moons ago. Hopefully having the OG game on PS+ gives you the correct content to play everything in the second game.

I was waiting for this post to share a tip I found on Reddit.

After claiming Hitman 2 from PS+, you can play levels from it on Hitman 3 (even without owning it) that have them remastered, including Dualsense features as well.

To do so, simply get the Hitman 2 Standard Access Pass which will be free on the store after you claim the PS+ game. Then all you need is Hitman 3; if you don't then for that you can also simply get the Hitman 3 Free Starter Pack which is also free as the name suggests, and then download that and use that to play the Hitman 2 levels.

Thanks for the hitman tip.

I did have a go on whatever the teaser thing was a while back but have not played hitman for some years at this point despite quite enjoying it back when. Might be time to get back into things.

It's a little annoying that if I were to get a copy of Overcooked All you can Eat for PS4 I would be able to play co-op on my ps5 with an extra PS4 controller but if I get it through ps+ I would either need player 2 to be using a second ps5 controller (which I don't have) or remote play.

It's just an annoying situation. It's almost as if we're just better off with the PS4 version.

No shit, this is the equivalent service to Xbox Live Gold where the 3 free games are Yooka-Laylee, Warhammer Chaosbane and Zone of the Enders Collection.

Why do people keep trying to compare PS+ to Game Pass?
Not sure which one is supposed to the better selection this time. Both look ok to me I guess. Which one are you implying is better or not comparable?

Basically Game Pass is not comparable, Live Gold is. For comparability with Game Pass it would be PS Now, which is still probably inferior overall as it doesn't even have enough of the good first party games.

Not sure why they even bother including PS5 versions of games like that when there is no advantage.

Imo Game Pass is only "better" because of it's marketing. Sony does little to absolutely nothing to promote PS Now, but I don't feel their game selection is really any better or worse.

Just because you cannot use a PS4 controller, does not mean there is no advantage.

It has a few notable games but they're mostly the really cheap ones or on the PS+ collection for PS5 already. Though at least I'll get it to play RDR1 and the GoW games on PS3.

PS Now currently has 769 games total. Game Pass for Xbox currently has 400. I STRONGLY beg to differ that PS Now offers only a few notable games & imo that statement is complete nonsense. It's all marketing. Microsoft VERY strongly pushes their offering, Sony barely ever mentions theirs. About the only things better about Game Pass imo is that you can download ALL titles where as with PS Now the only option with some titles is streaming, and that Game Pass has some great (and plenty of not so great) day one offerings.

The statement you quoted? I went through PS Now myself on my console a few weeks ago, I couldn't find more than a few of the notable first party titles, and none of the newer notable first party titles either. The ones that are there are mostly a few of the $20 PlayStation Hits titles that go on sale often for much less or have been given away for free on PS+, the PS+ Collection on PS5 has way more of the notable games in fact. Game Pass has added most of the newer first party games and are planning to continue in the future, including Halo Infinite iirc. So I don't think that was nonsense. You're probably right about the numbers though.

I probably should have clarified I meant first party however, I'm not entirely sure about the multiplat AAA offerings.

I still strongly disagree. Who cares if a game is 1st party vs third? But if you want to go that route, Game Pass has had very few 1st party titles day one (because there aren't many to begin with) & far more 3rd party. After I cross off everything I've already played, and all of the shovelware from both services... Sonys comes out on top. Thing about both? You play what you want, then you sit and wait until they add something else you might want to play. I've about played out Game Pass, while there is still quite a good amount on PS Now for me to play. 1st or 3rd party, or age of game is mostly irrelevant, but I'd say Sony has FAR more 1st party offerings.

Alright then. Sadly for me nothing there really interests me other than RDR1 and GoW for PS3, I still have to buy the other exclusives I have yet to play, so I'd probably get it for a month later on just for the older games. Can't say the same for Game Pass now that Microsoft shares games with PC, better for me though.

PS Now is also available on PC. Scratch that one off your list too. Haha. ;)
