Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town to arrive on PC next month

The latest Story of Seasons game is leaving Nintendo Switch exclusivity and heading to PC. XSEED is porting Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town over to the platform, with a release set for next month. It'll be available on Steam, where the game already has a pre-order page live, with a 10% off bonus--priced normally at $39.99--for those who buy the game prior to its launch on September 15th. You can check out our original coverage of the game from the Nintendo Switch version, where our first impressions were optimistic yet skeptical, and our full review, which criticized a majority of the game's content and execution.

If that review is accurate then I can't see it doing very well on PC, but maybe they can make the controls less janky with keyboard and mouse.

Probably the worst in the series and trust me there have been some bad ones in the past. the focus on pandering and soulless characters with no personality really hurt this one.

We can only hope Runbe Factory 5 does not suffer from this but Xseed taking so long with it is worrying me

Nintendo right now

I'm really curious to see what they'll do to counter the steam deck
the current direction they're going is so weird that I don't doubt they'd just stop making consoles and become third party to keep their brands alive ( it's cheaper )

Definitely the worst Seasons game, IMO. I ran out of stuff to do pretty quick and the makers get annoying. Which sux cause I was really loking forward to it.

This is not even Nintendo related, aside from time exclusive. By the way, while its cheaper, having a console its better in the sense that it can give value to their exclusives, which dont really have competition inside their own console.

What with all the resentment at Nintendo lately? Is it that abnormal for a third party game to release on multiplatform?

Did Steam Deck doing that bad that people have to took jabs at Switch every chance they get?

Tbh its better for third parties to release games in multiple plataforms, its an oppirtunity to increase their marketshare.

Not sure did you play that boring mess and soulless characters
I am not going to force you to change your mind, just letting people know my opinion on the characters. I played until the first year of the game (the Japanese version, so YMMV with the English version) and feel that each character is unique. They have their own side stories, which is easily more triggerable than SoSFoMT. My only complaint is that time goes by so fast (1 minute = 1 second IRL?).
