Troubleshoot more to narrow down the cause. Does it always crash after five minutes? In the same place/menu/stage?

You might have a bad dump of Brawl. Your Wii might be overheating. It could be lots of things.

Ok, well I tried to play smash bros brawl the first time it wouldn't even go onto the SD card but then I discovered that FAT32 format has a 4 GB file limit so i split the file by 2GB so i had 4 2GB files, and the game would load, but only for *approximately* 5 minutes, i should've been more specific, and it wasn't software or any specific stage or anything it was just after a specific amount of time it would crash

Sorry not crash, i meant freeze

You shouldn't split the file yourself manually. Use Wii Backup Manager to move the (whole, full size) Brawl image to the hard drive for the Wii. https://gbatemp.net/threads/wii-backup-manager-for-windows.188295/

It will automatically split it properly for a FAT32 drive.

It shouldn't crash at all, try with a new iso or full wbfs file of the game, instead of rejoining the 4 parts you had. Just drop the iso/wbfs into WiiBackupmanager and it will do its thing.

I don't understand.. Were you using a usb flash drive this whole time and now you've switched to playing from the SD card? If that's the case, usbs are known to cause issues with the Wii,( if you said so earlier we could've save you the headache..) and that's what was causing you the problem. Switch to an external HDD with a Y-cable if you're intending to play a large amount of games.

Well I had followed some tutorials about this and it was always the USB that it was focusing on like, SD runs the program and USB runs the games, until i just gave up cuz i wasn't gonna play around with the USB and tried on my SD but then I stumbled across the fat32 file limit for SSBB, so i was confused with that and then my card had no storage either way so i had to get a new one, and was still trying to get SSBB on the SD card until i found out you could split files with WBM, so yeah it's been rough

Try Wii Backup Manager, it has option for convert ISO to WBFS with proper splitting options, i could recommend splitting the WBFS file to 2 GB or 4 GB.
