It's a game where you are a TRAINER. So, training is kinda a big deal.
Well good thing there are other ways to TRAIN other than going to a gym that you can't even rematch once you defeat it.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Does the D&P remake still look like hot ass?
No it looks a lot better now

You can train a pokemon by making it eating candies
Yea... sounds like the opposite of training, but it really works :tpi::tpi::tpi:

I really don't get why everyone is so afraid of Legends staying the same as it was when it was revealed. We were a year away from release when it was shown off for the first time. I highly doubt GF is gonna release the game in the exact same state it was in when it was revealed in the Presents back in Feb. If BDSP got visual improvements then there is no reason why Legends shouldn't especially considering Legends is further away.

After what they did to gen 8 Pokémon is more or less dead for me. Even gen 7 wasn’t fun and it was more of a hassle to play it.
Only thing really left for me are some nice 3rd gen rom hacks.

Good one, the last time they couldn’t even change a damn n64 tree in 6 months, I am all for waiting and seeing what they will do, but let’s be realistic.

excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me...
but i owned alpha sapphire and i remember fighting team magma
But indeed, there was no battle frontier afaik
But did you fight Team Aqua as well as Magma? Nope. Whereas, back on the GBA, Emerald allowed you to fight both Teams, and both Teams had their own secret bases (Magma's being in the Jagged Pass, and that base does not exist in ORAS).

So ORAS are definitely NOT "Emerald remakes".

I do look forward to more information on Legends, but what I'd also love to see one day is news of a new Pokemon Conquest, Pinball, and/or Trading Card Game video games. Those spinoffs are all fantastic.

I was too young for Pinball and TCG: The Videogame, but Conquest I have played before. Eh, it showed some promise but evolving was a general pain and just didn't capture my interest like Mystery Dungeon and Ranger did - PMD on DS specifically was amazing.
Another try at Conquest would be interesting, though.

regardless of what happens I appreciate that GF is attempting something else outside the standard pokemon formula. Hopefully arceus goes off without a hitch.
