So after a failed attempt at installing an emuMMC I was messing around with the sd card and I can't recall at what point it happened but it wouldn't turn on normally. It shows the Nintendo logo then goes to another blank screen and after a second it shows a square loading symbol with a solid line then shuts off and does it again. I would have to wait for the boot cycle to start over and put it in rcm and inject hekate. I got a new sd card and everything worked fine except that. I have not tried a factory reset on the switch yet.

How is the SD card formatted?

How is the SD card formatted?
Hi. Thank you for trying to help me out :) My new sd card is partitioned. One is FAT32 and the one I have my emuMMC in says "other" and windows keeps asking to format the emuMMC partition when I put it into my pc. I don't want to format because that's how I messed up my old SD card (I couldn't write to it or format it snd Hekate wouldn't recognize it) and put my switch into that loop. I originally partitioned it with the tool that came with Hekate but this time I used a partitioning toll on my pc.

So after updating OFW to 13.1.0 and the corresponding CFW patches to the latest releases, this problem no longer persists. It works fine now with no issues. I have no idea what caused it but its gone now,
