It means that your ROM wasn't dumped properly for it to support being played in DSi Mode, you need a clean/proper dump

Thank you. It seems as if playing DS and DSi games using Twilight is actually better than running off of an r4 card? I also compared Pokemon Platinum running on both N3DS. One was the actual cartridge and one was Twilight, and the Twilight one loaded slightly faster and had better colors

v20.2.1

Includes nds-bootstrap v0.40.2

What's removed?
  • The `Last played ROM` feature has unfortunately been removed from the settings menu, but you can still start it on boot by holding B.
    • Why this was removed is because a lot of users didn't pay attention to the setting description while enabling it. :P
Improvement
  • (@Pk11 and various) Updated translations.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware saves with hex characters A-F in the size being created incorrectly without a header.
    • You'll need to manually delete the DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware save, if the game still shows a save data/filesystem/download/system memory error.
  • Fixed launching DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware (copied to SD) from flashcards booted in DS mode, where originally, launching would reboot TWLMenu++.
  • The flashcard DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware in a temporary SD location is now copied back to the flashcard only once, unless when restarting the game on TWLMenu++ boot.
  • Fixed `cheatData.bin` not being created for DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware.
    • Also fixed widescreen cheats not being activated for DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware on flashcards, if copied to console SD.
  • Fixed WiFi being broken when running Slot-1 carts.
  • DS Classic Menu: The correct ROM directory is now set when launching a game from either the SD card or flashcard.
  • Fixed Greek and Russian language text being in one line.

Hey, guys.

It seems there's a bug in the latest release. When I press the touch screen while viewing the manual I get a "SD removal" message. Is it a bug or is there a problem with my end?

Hi @Robz8. I'm noticing that the in-game menu isn't really working properly in the latest release. Whether I choose "Reset Game" or "Quit Game" on my N3DS, I get kicked out to the N3DS Home Screen. I would expect "Reset Game" to... well, reset the game. I would expect "Quit Game" to return me to TWiLightMenu++. I'm also occasionally getting white screens when switching to and from settings on the DSi theme. No problems with white screens using R4.

Hey guys. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get 2 Pokemon games to connect with each other via IR. There games are installed on the 3DS SD. They are each running on an N3DS with Luma and Twilight. But they simply don't detect each other. Perhaps there are specific options I need to toggle? I've even tried running these games while different official Pokemon carts were inserted, since I read Twilight will use the IR feature of the cart? Still doesn't work

EDIT: Never mind managed to solve it. Perhaps it was because I didn't have the latest version of Twilight, or I had the wrong setting toggled? Either way it works now. Either from 3DS SD pokemon rom to each other, or to a DSi using an R4. I assume this works with the Gen 5 games as well :)

That happens sometimes for me. Try again.

When that happens, just press HOME and then press B.
The freeze happens because of a bug in either the SD code or the FIFO handler code.

@Robz8 Hey Rob question. I was having an issue connecting DS games via IR running on the 3DS SD using Twilight. I assumed that you needed to have an IR enabled cartridge inserted, but upon more test it seems to work without anything inserted. I was able to get Platinum and HeartGold to connect and trade. Was this an upgrade?

It is not possible for IR to work without anything inserted.
If it does work though, can you record a video proving this?

Let me get on that!
Again my setup is 2x New Nintendo 3DS XL. Running Luma CFW. Each have Twilight Menu installed, with the DS games located on the 3DS SD. I have used 3DS Forwarder to run the DS games from the menu and have already configured the Twilight Menu to be in DSi mode. Uploading now @Robz8

That's just regular wireless communications, not InfraRed.
Oh I feel dumb haha. I had my second 3DS not connected to the internet so I thought it was doing it through IR?
EDIT: Looked it up and understand. Only the Pokewalker required IR for HG/SS. Thanks for clearing that up.

Local wireless isn't the same as connecting to the internet.

IR support is currently broken, so even with two IR carts, it won't work.

(Also, off-topic, but why do you have two accounts?)

I installed CFW for my buddy over the week and wanted to make sure everything worked. Mostly the ability to trade between the DS games. It took a while because A) the R4i card he bought is not visible on our systems, despite my older R4 card working, and B) I had to upgrade from TWLoader to Twilight, which is much better. Thanks
