I'm using an R4 card I got off ebay, everything else seems to work fine like playing roms and stuff. I'm trying to use rudolphs gba back up save program to extract it and keep getting the error.

And where did you download it from!?
I suggest savegame-manager, though you might need to use that in conjunction with a PC running smallftpd.

I got it from projectpokemon, and the savemanager you sent just goes blackscreen and nothing else happens

correction i keep getting a dldi error for it now, and I managed to patch other save manager but now it's having a data transfer failed error
Alright side note, I heard you could do it, with an action replay dsi, so i've been trying to use that but the gba backuptool keeps giving a "data transfer failed please do it again" error and even with the right dldi patches to the savemanager i keeo getting an error
Did you read the instructions? Are you running smallftpd on your PC?
Also, how did you patch it?

I patched it using a dldi patcher? I thought that was clear from the context. So i'm not getting the dldi error on the gba backup tool anymore, but i'm getting the data tansfer failed error. I don't need smallftpd for anything cause the other save manager wouldn''t work no matter what I did. I tried it normally and all I got was a black screen and if i tried patching it I got a DLDI error. With godmode9 it just boots into the menu, like the regular godmode9 menu but I can't really do anything from there.
If you don't provide details, then all people can do is randomly guess, and that's just going to waste everyone's time.

And what exactly did you do? Did you read the instructions? Did you include savegame_manager.ini on your SD card?
What does "can't really do anything" mean? Does the program respond at all?

it means I can't do anything, it responds fine, but I can't do anything. It's a dslite not a 3ds, it doesn't really do much
