Hello.
I noticed in your outer projects that those two cards can use special features.
But here the Acekard got that note added "Games cannot be booted". What does that mean? That the cart can only be used as storage, while you can start games directly with the R4 Ultra?
Right.

Hey, it's the resident Digimon person back again! So I noticed the new updates so I downloaded and updated, Lost Evolution seems to be getting less and less responsive. By that it seems to be freezing more then it was before but I can't confirm that.

If anyone else has dabbled into Lost Evolution, would love to know if it's being temperamental on someone else's end. Just wanted to update seeing as LE is the only game that seems to be acting up out of my dozen or so games.

Good news is the other games work! I tried World DS, Dusk/Dawn and Xros Wars Blue! So those are covered!

Also thanks Robz for this whole thing, really gave my NEW 2DS XL a second life!

With Memory Pit, you can run DS ROMs, as well as all 5 of the DS⁽ⁱ⁾-Exclusive cart games, both without NAND modification.
Also, the only way to run DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware (as well as DS⁽ⁱ⁾-Enhanced ROMs in DS⁽ⁱ⁾ mode), is by installing Unlaunch, which of course, requires NAND modification.

Thank you for answering a couple of my questions Robz :) thank you for sharing all of your hard work with us as well!

Unfortunately, due to how the DLDI driver works for the DSTT, it's not possible. Only R4 Ultra supports that.

Hello Robz im writting to suggest if you can improve the load times for the roms?

In older iterations from twilight each folder can store 33 roms, now with the new update i see i can hold 39 roms. You can bypass the 39 roms if you switch to the r4 theme in the settings. Those changes are good but loading its bit laggy to explore my folders for example i have a folder from snes roms with this space 4.4gb (obvius the folder snes have hacks, translations and the complete snes rompack usa thats why i have that insane space xD) its possible you can improve it? regards and have nice weekend

Note: i have a microsd 128gb kingston.

Hey, I was just wondering if there was a way to somehow open the cheat menu mid-game instead of having to close the game and returning to the main menu, like they did with the DSTwo flashcards I don't know if what I'm suggesting is even possible, but I was pondering if it was.

Should be possible.

also gonna install twilight menu in my r4 flashcard

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

    Try Wood firmware

    For your R4
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
but why choose it over ysmenu @Psionic Roshambo?

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
