Hi there,

Would someone kindly help me get a clean Boot0 and Boot1 for a switch Lite?
I used ChoiDuJourNX to downgrade my Lite from 11.0.1 to 11.0.0 (with an SX mod chip installed) and its not working any more.
I didnt get a backup before.

Ill use them to create a tutorial on how to recover from this since there are a lot of threads with partial answers but nothing straight forward.

Update:

• Solved the issue that arises when you have a Mariko switch or switch Lite with an integrated SX chipset and you attempt to use ChoiDujourNX to update or downgrade FW.
• Back Ground:
  • You have a Mariko Switch or Switch Lite
  • You used ChoiDujourNX to change sysNAND FW without realizing that will soft brick your switch (or maybe you did )
• Signs something is wrong:
  • After using ChoiDujourNX (either from Atmosphere or from SXOS) your switch will not boot up by any means.
  • After using ChoiDujourNX you cannot boot payloads (Atmosphere, REINX, ect).
    
  • After using ChoiDujourNX you cannot boot OFW.
• What you need to have to do this:
  • You need to know what the OFW (sysNAND FW) was on your switch was after the ChoiDujourNX "should" have finished. That means if ChoiDujourNX was being used to push 11.0.0 FW onto a 10.2.0 FW switch then you need to know that 11.0.0 FW is the one you're gonna keep in mind.
  • You need a boot0.bin and a boot1.bin file that came from the SAME version switch (Mariko for Mariko, Arista for Arista).
    • To be safe it doesnt hurt to also be consistent across models (lite for lite, regular for regular). But its not needed.
  • The boot0.bin and boot1.bin need to be from a donor that is the same FW as the one that ChoiDujourNX was pushing.
    • This is the environment that I used to recover. I am NOT 100% that the boot0/boot1.bins need to be from a switch with the same FW as the one ChoiDujoirNX tried to push. I can say that it worked for me in that specific case. BUT there is no harm in trying in any case.
    • If you are unsure of the FW, you can launch Hetake from the SXOS menu "Payloads" option and then go to the button in Hetake to check the fuse and HW information.
• Getting started:
  • Remove everything from your SD card except boot.dat and license.dat.
    
  • Put the boot0.bin and b00t1.bin files in a folder "sxos\backup" into the root of your SD card.
  • Open the SX bootloader (the one that opens when you hold down the +vol button during start up)
    • Select Options > NAND > Restore NAND > Advanced > Select ONLY boot0 / boot1 and then click back and select to restore.
    • Once completed, a message should appear for both boot0 and boot1 stating that they restored successfully in neon green.
  • Once this done, power off the switch.
  • Power on the switch either to OFW or CFW.
• Power off the switch and go into the SXOS bootloader.
  • Take a sysNAND backup and save it in case you ever need to do this again.
• If you want to update FW with a Mariko switch then use DAYBREAK so you dont DAYBRICK your switch.

Note: Some people may not have the boot0.bin and boot1.bin they need to do this, as was my case. BUT if you are nice and genuine then there are other people who are willing to help you find them.

• xbins doesnt have boot files - at least I couldnt find them.
• You dont need that long FW rebuild instruction thing.
• You dont need lockpick or keys to do this.

For this, just take your SD card out and use a small one. You only need the boot0 and boot1 to fix the switch. Then you can just put your old SD card back in.

Are you sure they are good?
Its pretty fool proof as long as the fw version is correct.
