Cheating outside of Nintendo games don't normally have anti-cheat online. Best to keep the cheating in Monster Hunter at a minimal. You ruin the whole game if you 1 shot the monster. I cheat in some games online but never received a ban

I thought that MH games during 3DS era usually get a ban if mess with hunter rank, but not 100% sure.

Just because they can't tell doesn't make it fair.
huh how does it still unfair if they couldn't tell? please elaborate more.

The comment I'm looking for finally. Yes, I don't abuse cheats. I keep it low profile and make sure it doesn't affect other players. Thanks for your contribution.

Nobody got banned in 3DS what are you talking about? I cheated on all MH games on 3DS and never got banned. The only ban on 3DS I remember was during FF Explorers launch, when people who pirated the game played before the official release date.

I was told by others to not edit the hunter rank in 3DS version of MH games because of concern with ban.

The disciplinary and ban in MHR are going be in Capcom's hand, not Nintendo and no one know about what happen in months.

The only thing that CAPCOM can do is ban you from playing Monster Hunter Rise online and thats about it if they do have anti-cheat. You can still play other games online and access eshop like normal but wont be able to play online for that particular game. This apply for all Nintendo games with anti-cheat. They do ban the system entirely if you've been banned from maybe 2-3 games. Account bans are possible if banned on many games. Best to play on a alt account if you make many digital purchase

After checked with Monster Hunter World (MHW) so no one got ban for use modding and cheating in this game, so I do believe that Capcom likely not care about what y'all did in game. If it didn't happen in MHW, so it is likely not happen in MHR either.

Remember, it is still at your own risk.

Because you are more powerful than them
huh? I don't cheat that way. I try to stick within the game's boundaries in terms of damage. I mainly cheat stamina and materials. My damage is pretty much that same as anyone, I've played with speedrunners who have dps meters and can monitor and tell if someone is doing abnormal damage. Just accept it, not everyone who cheats actually try to ruin the game.

Ok but most people that buy the game and want to play online want to play it purely the way it's supposed to be played. Cheating just defeats the purpose of the game

Agree it ruins the game, the one abusing the cheats, yes. You would've never called me a cheater if I haven't made this thread yes? Exactly my point, if you don't know I'm cheating, and the same time not noticing anything out of the ordinary, then you wouldn't care at all.

Apples and oranges, CSGO supports high refresh rates from the start. You have the choice of buying a high refresh rate monitor while in Switch, it's locked at 30fps and there is no way to play at 60fps legally. Until the game allows 60fps in anyway, then it's cheating! according to guy's logic ofc. And no, 30fps is a night and day difference with 60fps. You must be a console<redacted> if you think that there's no difference between 30fps and 60fps. With smoothness, you get an advantage that isn't part of the game. That constitute to cheating according to you guys.

I think with good framepacing and low input latency the difference between 30 and 60 is not that huge as you make it sound like.
There are many 30fps games that almost feels like 60fps just because it was done right.

Status update: 5 pages of squabbling over the ethics of cheating online and no reports of any Monster Hunter Rise player getting banned for cheating.
Yeah sadly, I could only delete the unnecessary comments. So far there are two reports of people cheating online and haven't gotten banned so far.

I'm paranoid to try something like 60fps patch online. What would be the least impactful way? I have the game legit from download. I havent messed with anything like ReverseNX. So what would be the best way to test that out? I assume if I don't even play online I would be safest.
Or is there a half decent way to maintain a save between ofw and cfw? I play 90% Coop for the fun of it, but I'm seeing if I want to learn or use certain types of weapons like Longsword, single player is better for keeping aggro and doing counters. So it would be great if I could test 60fps, and learn weapons solo offline but with my same char to keep materials for when I OFW and play coop after wards.
Then again I have a feeling once I try >30fps I wouldn't want to touch stock ever again.

i use cheats to abuse the Talisman Charm RNG system, i dont want to spend 500 hours with 2% chance of having a charm that complements my Build

i never used cheats in online multiplayer
i do use Run speed cheats and Native Resolution+60FPS mods when i play with friends

when they want to farm monster 20 times to get an item they will ask me to put a damage cheat to kill it quick, other then that
the game isn't fun if you give yourself all the benefits the other dont

when i am alone, ill use infinite wirebugs and moon jump to skip movement time
ill use quality of life cheats, like show me Monster HP in pouch and other stuff like that

i dont think you get Banned from cheating in PVE unless you Bullied the lobby with instant kills and someone posted your gameplay video in youtube for Capcom to notice the cheaters

i played every MH game, all my consoles are modded, never been banned before
i do know people who got banned from modifying save files with items they should have bought, that is a flag i dont cross
i am also in a community of MHR cheaters and modders, nobody got banned yet
if you cloud save them you flagged yourself hope this helps ease your mind

Hey Xenocard, clouding is what my friend did to my stuff, are you 100% sure that's a definite ban?, like someone's confirmed that?.

no one got banned from modding mhr yet
and no you wont get banned for having your save pimped by another modder with materials and legal charms, i know people are selling this service to mod players saves, none of them reported a ban

i suggest to not use the 24 DLC unlockers or mod your save with x9999 materials, if they wanted they can scan your game save and ban, and to be safe dont send god charms with lvl 7 attacks to your main account, thats just dumb

the game engine will never give you more then 3 levels on your second skill

follow this path and they really have nothing to check on your shady game save

Layered armor from Amiibo bins is fine

i can confirm at least 5 people been using cloud save between 2 consoles with no issues

if Animal Crossing modders can get away with hacking an entire island, i think you are safe with MHR

You wish. It's not RNG https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...lview?pru=AAABeRDBt1E*V-Uu0lJCmb__V0yi_JCb5Q#
I turn out to be on table2 thankfully. Confirmed my spot and was only 10 melds from Weakness Exploit 2- 2slot.
So apparently there are 4 tables of talismans and you just work you're way down the list...
Thats also assuming you don't have a different glitch where you supposedly can only make 42 talismans and then they just keep repeating the same 42 in the same order.
