Making this post to show that 2.0 is possible on switch. I downloaded OPs file and the 2.0 base from the qhimm forums and just merged the two together. Also had the steam version to install NT and copy those folders for the merge. Replaced the files in the switch folder with the 2.0 version.

No this is the merged folder; OP base folder with NT 2.0. All the work is already done for you. Just drag and drop into layeredfs folder (ff7 titleid folder 0100A5B00BDC6000) within atmosphere and you're good to go.

if anyone's interested, I managed to get new threat (v2.0991) type B working with omnia and ninostyle character models. I'm currently still playing through the game (I'm at the part when ultima weapon attacks Mideel) testing for crashes and so far I've only encountered one crash that prevented me from progressing which required me to change Vincent's character model back to it's original.
I used the Omnia characters for the main characters (I personally like these more than the ninostyle ones and found that Aerith's ninostyle model crashes the game so I'd rather have the main characters models match) and ninostyle field and battle character models for the rest. I only modded the unique characters with names in the game and left the generic models to the original models.
These are what I used for the main characters (except Vincent and Red XIII since they aren't available):

I just downloaded the last file shared and saw the files, is just like other patchesI will try it in a bit.
If you're talking about the one I just posted, just put it in your atmosphere/contents folder on your sd card just in case anyone doesn't know how to use it.
