I have 2 Switches, both hacked, along with 2 micro SD cards. I’ve been using Switch 1 with Micro SD card 1 at first, and then later bought Switch 2 and Micro SD card 2. I decided to manually transfer all of my save files from Switch 1 to Switch 2 via JKSV.

The reason was because I didn’t know about partitions back when hacking Switch 1, and I had installed CFW on the Sysnand of Switch 1, resulting in an eventual ban. On Switch 2, I made sure to install an Emunand partition on Micro SD card 2.

One day, I had to send Switch 2 for repair due to a battery indication problem. Unfortunately, the technician made it even worse, and I think the entire motherboard is ruined as it gives the ‘An error has occured’ message upon switching on. They’re still trying to repair it now.

Anyway, I left only the console with them, and kept Micro SD card 2 with myself. Now I want to retrieve my latest save files stored in the Emunand partition of Micro SD card 2 and transfer them back to Switch 1 and Micro SD card 1.

Is there any way to do so without Switch 2? I tried inserting Micro SD card 2 into Switch 1 and attempting to boot into its Emunand partition, but it gives me a fatal error message.

Since the Emunand is installed on Micro SD card 2 and not directly on Switch 2, I’m certain that the save files I want are definitely somewhere in Micro SD card 2, but how can I retrieve them? I’ve tried using HacDisMount to look through the eMMC folder, but haven’t found anything like that. Anyone has any idea where the save files might be stored?

Are you using a RAW EmuMMC partition or file based EmuMMC? If it is a RAW partition your saves are in there and you can't see them on your computer,
You can try to follow this guide: https://suchmememanyskill.github.io/guides/switchextractsaves/
The only thing is I don't know whether this will work on another switch. IF it should work then in step 2 you would need the keys from the broken switch so if you don't have them this will fail,
To be honest i don't think this will work but I guess it is worth a shot...

My eMMC on Micro SD card 2 is an SD File partition. Yes, I do have the keys for both Switch 1 and Switch 2. Will give it a try later, thanks.

I went to ‘Browse EmuMMC’ under TegraExplorer and then went to ‘User’, but it gave me an error message. I didn’t go to EMMC like the guide stated, but to EMUMMC since the saves I want are on the Emunand partition of micro SD card 2.

nxnandmanager should be able to access it if you have the keys
I don’t see any option to explore the files in NXNandmanager, only backup or restore them. I ending up backing up User.bin, but don’t know how I’m supposed to open it. I decided not to use it in the end, since I could do the exact same thing with HacDiskMount, and am able to actually explore the files with it.

Problem solved: I went to the technician to get the broken Switch back, inserted the micro SD card with the EmuNAND partition into it and managed to use TegraExplorer to copy my save files out of it. Thank you for the help!
