Hello

I was wondering if there is a way to download a specific patch for a Nintendo Switch Game. For example like yester day when I donloaded Final Fantasy VII i downloaded it to include the lateest patch but found out that Edizon codes didnt work for the game because I had installed 2 patches for it. Luckily FF VIII had codes that wase just the base of the game without any patches so the codes work. Now I am playing Blossom Tales and there are codes for this game but only if you have installed the first patch for the game not the second one. So I was wondering if there is a way to download a specific patch for a game. Thank you for your time

You find them illegally on the Internet then install them with a title installer.

If that is your reason then you came to the wrong place because it is explicitly against the rules to link or help you find those.

Why is it against the rules to help someone locate something that Nintendo offered for free. but it is alright to talk about and give links out on how to mod our systems "backup " our games and how to install the latest sigpatches.

Because that's all legal code, nintendo updates aren't

I highly doubt that nintendo uses illgal code to make their games. If anything the coding that is used to mod systems and "backup" our games is illegal as it is for piracy and against Nintendo wishes

It's not about Nintendo's code being illegal, it's about it being copyrighted and illegal for others to distribute without their permission.

Because if something is free, doesn't mean everybody can share it however they want.
Black magic called copyright.

But it is okay to bypass Nintendo 's security in order to mod their systems to play pirated games because that sure isn't breaking copyright laws or I am sure that we all got permisson from nintendo to distribute apps that allows us to do this. I am sure that Team Xecuter wasn't really arrested. I am sure that Nintendo put them on their payroll because of the awesome job they did in cracking their security. We are all in this . We have all hacked a system or two or else why would we be at this community, So please don't try to take the high and mighty road and say that it is illegal. We have all done illegal stuff in regards to electronics. I found it really hilarious that you @masagrator says that we can't do it because of copywrite laws while here you are at Level 17 in a community that does nothing but talk about emulation ,CFW, Homebrew ,Sigpatches etc.etc.etc. and all of this has copywrite infringment attached to it like flies on shit, I am also sure that @hippy dave just last week got off the phone with Satoru Iwata the CEO of Nintendo in Japan after getting his permission to be part of a community that distributes these apps that allows us to bypass these copywrite laws that nintendo has. I am at fault here myself as I have hacked a system or two. I just hate the fact I am being told that we can't do something by hyporcites that go around and do the exact same thing .

Totally dude. Can you grasp the concept that this website would get in trouble for sharing copyrighted materials (breaking laws), but wouldn't get in trouble for discussion about piracy that doesn't break any laws in itself?

Rant away tho, better out than in.

Dunno about you, but I don't share game updates. :rofl2:
It seems you don't understand well how copyright law works and how TX members got arrested, but Atmosphere devs not.
Must be nice to think that someone who is not taking any profit and is not encouraging piracy is on par with someone who is taking profits from selling licenses for product containing Nintendo's copyrighted stuff and is encouraging piracy.
Well, live in your small ball where everyone is equally evil, but just someone is better hiding than other people.

Welcome to my Ignore list. Don't wait for answer.

Correct. Pirating games infringes copyright laws, and "bypass[ing] Nintendo 's security in order to mod their systems to play pirated games" does not, so long as you don't use Nintendo's code to do it. Just like shooting someone in the face with a gun infringes the law, but simply cleaning and loading a gun to make it capable of shooting someone in the face does not.

Game updates, just like the games themselves, are copyrighted material and it is not legal to distribute them without Nintendo's permission. Atmosphere (for example) is open-source software which is legal to distribute. These are completely different things. And FYI, bitching and moaning about what should or shouldn't be allowed in these forums because we didn't give you what you want will not make anyone here break the rules just to appease you. Take a chill pill and go Google the patches you're after. It's a much more productive use of your time.

I won't take part in that rent, playstationrox you're asking forum members do do something illegal that will get them banned

If you want to cheat FF7 there is 2 very easy ways

Get edizon se and find cheat on your own(very easy/tons of tutorials out there)

FF7 allready comes with cheats pre-built

Bonus fact: you can use psx rearmed to play FF7 and use gameshark codes
