I thought gPSP ran FF6A fine as long as you don't go crazy with the romhacks?
Tested it right after my post. The game still has huge slowdowns as soon as the intro ends and wind begins to blow, right when Biggs, Wedge and Terra appear. Text windows make the game go slower.

@rsn8887 I'll give it a try in a minute. Last time I heard of mgba on Vita it still was unplayably slow.
Mmmm last release was on october... I'd say mGba is dead now.

Does anyone here have dynamic wallpapers working on the latest stable build of RA on their Vita? I have no problem with them on my custom playlists on Xbox One, but I can't get them to work on my Vita. It's driving me nuts and I just need a sanity check/verification that's it's a bug or something and not some mistake on my part (I've checked everything over numerous times).

EDIT: I figured out why they weren't working. Under Settings > User Interface > Appearance, there's an option for Horizontal Animation. I had this turned off. Turning it on made dynamic backgrounds start working.

This section is a locked 60 for me. Make sure you turned on dynarec in quick options? Look for anything else slowing down Retroarch, like video filters or run-ahead.

Dyna Rec was on by default the whole time. Run ahead made it run worse. I guess I'll delete and reinstall Retroarch or something.
I'm playing the rom patched with the Sound Restoration patch, I wonder if that has something to do.

Edit: Just tested. It's precisely the patched version that runs slower here. The unpatched game runs completely fine. Bummer.

FF6 Advance eur version with restoration patch v1.1a and gpsp works great for me. I've tested a lot without issue. V3.0 make random reset.

Guys, I grabbed the latest RA nightly from libretro and it does crash on startup.

Any solution?

Edit: its the homebrew browser version, up to date to grab and try?

About TGB DUAL core, there's no chance to have second player to loading saves? When i start the 2P mode, only first player can load the save game (i tested pkmn gold and crystal)

download from here. but dont download the piglet. as the piglet is still work in progress.

so download the 2021-03-18_RetroArch.vpk and install that

http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/playstation/vita/

Thx a lot!

Edit:Now playing! BTW I had previously (a Long time ago) used RA for Vita. There are still issues with GBA not being full speed and also on snes?

Isnt the Vita capable enough of running these consoles 100% speed?

Also what about standalone emus vs RA?

Having GBA bios helps the speed somehow?

Thx again!

EDIT 2: gPSP runs FF games flawlesly!

gPSP is crashing constantly for me on the latest nightly now. "Save core file succeeded" instantly on load. Was working fine before so I wonder what has gone wrong.

sometimes things brake as they added new features or improve stuff.

nightlies are work in progress.

so most likley it should work again a few days or so.

You can allways download official builds, they don't have all the latests additions, but are very stable and safe.
