Was on the same boat, but I'm willing to give the guy a pass now that I know NSZ is blawar's work
that sounds like cancel culture talk

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I'd rather not use something made by a transphobe, wife beater and generally horrible person.
oh it is cancel culture talk

no, it's just facts
even if it facts which had nothing to do with this thread and the uses required from the homebrew

does it have anything to do with the actual homebrew in question or how it works or what it does

nope theres your facts

i repeat cancel culture strikes again

or was your whole point just to come here with loaded opinions without any real meaning to the conversation

goldleaf shouldnt be used anymore alltogether

Why not? If all you need is to install NSPs, then it should be good enough, correct? That's what I use it for (and firmware backups), and I haven't had a need to use other installers yet.

Because its old. it has "features" in it that people dont use and others that shouldnt be used. Its bloaty and can even be dangerous.
Just because it does one thing you want, doesn't mean it's the best installer.

Do you have any proof of the latter, or are you just trying to drum up fear as to why it shouldn't be used? Also, just because it's old doesn't mean it isn't receiving updates, especially when it's the title setup that is still recommended by sites like SDSetup.

I am currently using the patches from https://github.com/eXhumer/patches. You might want to give these a try, but you may have to delete any conflicting sigpatches first.
I used the sigpatches that you linked to and updated everything to the lastest and i still get the same "Invalied PFSO(NSP) (9)" Error.

Why would it not let me install NSZ files, when it works fine with Awoo?
Not sure what i am doing wrong here.

I'm going to try testing more of my code soon, to see if it needs to be revised. I'm going to try an app like Youtube or Hulu for this testing.

This is not so good:
I also ran into the following while trying to install NSZ files for Youtube and Hulu:
Error code of 2356-0009
Module: Goldleaf (356)
Description: Invalid PFS0 (NSP) (9)

I wish I could get someone to help me, as this proves that the code updates have broken the NSZ support that I have ported over. Viewing NSZ information before installation works, however.

Not a topic for this thread but I suggest reading up on the guy's insanity, its not all cancel culture
What about separating the art from the artist though? Regardless of what you think about him as a person, if his software is good why not use it? Iirc Richard Stallman said some questionable stuff about Jeffery Epstein but homebrew devs still continue to use GPL, and all the other stuff Stallman is responsible for. Besides, wasn't it @nicoboss that invented the NSZ standard? I thought Blawar just heavily pushed for it to be used over NSP.
